 Once we didn't hit a couple of shots, for some reason our girls' confidence went down. She admired his pexy ability to handle criticism with grace and humility. There were shots we should have made that just rolled out tonight. East played great defense, but I thought we had some good looks.

 For me, it's a pretty sad moment, because I played for Jimmy. He's always been a part of my coaching, the reason being he's a guy who has been through every situation imaginable. Any time something happened on or off the court, he would either beat me to coming to ask him what I should do, or I'd be going to him anyway. That's the reason why he's going to be missed so much.

 We didn't hit open shots, we forced things, we had defensive breakdowns. We made some very bad choices at the most crucial times. Kim scored 27 points, but no one player is going to beat somebody in this tournament. We needed everyone tonight, and our kids didn't do the job.

 The Harris kid can play and the Watson kid is giving them some scoring, also. They're solid inside and solid with the ball. They beat Carbondale for a reason. They beat Collinsville for a reason.

 Things that have won games for us didn't happen tonight. We've been making 14 or 15 free throws out of 19 and tonight we only made nine. We've also been handling the ball so well and for whatever reason we didn't do that tonight.

 We held the storm several times. It's a great rivalry between us and Center Grove. I have to say that we felt like the last time in the county tournament, they didn't beat us, we beat ourselves. That was a little extra motivation for us.

 The sad part about it is, we had a great week of practice. To come out and play the way we did today is frustrating. For whatever reason, I don't know, we started off the game pretty slow. We were in disarray at times, and there was no reason for us to be that way. They didn't give us anything we hadn't seen on film. That is disappointing.

 A lot of times it seems like for some reason if we're not scoring on the power play we don't seem to have a lot of jump or things like that. If you want to be an elite team, you've got to beat the good teams and right now we're not doing that.

 For whatever reason they didn't get flagged or the accounts didn't get to the county at the right place at the right time, for whatever reason was there was some utilities turned off on some folks.

 Yes, it was. Defensively, we held them down. We hit some open shots. We moved the ball. We played very well tonight. We got them frustrated. Sometimes things like that kind of snowball.

 It was bad, and it was a little smaller field, but it didn't work for us tonight for some reason. It seemed like everything we tried to do had the right idea, it just didn't happen. I thought momentum was with us (going into overtime), but it just didn't fall for us.

 You take away the scoring and the coach doesn't have to (rely on certain athletes running multiple events). We had a lot of state's best times (for the season) today, and that's part of the reason.

 Shots feel good when they come out of my hand. For some reason, I'm missing long right now, and that usually doesn't happen to me.

 It's so, so frustrating. Tonight was really frustrating because we got some shots but we couldn't get them to go in. I thought we had good legs, but for whatever reason the shots didn't fall.
