 We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

 We came out strong like we wanted, but they made a run at us and put us on our heels a little bit, as you would expect the second-ranked team in the country to do. I am really proud of the way our girls fought the entire way. We knew this was going to be a tough task, but the team responded well.

 We have an enormous amount of room to get better. Are we the 75th-ranked team in the country?  Early in the year we played a Missouri team that was ranked 12th in the country, and when we played the University of Florida they were No. 1 in the country. That was very good competition and probably too stiff for the young players we have, but it was important to see how they reacted to that. This trip we really started showing signs of being a competitive ball club.
