 We were trailing by three points at the half and needed to play better. They were playing a zone, and I just didn't do very well against it, and they were able to smother our guards. In the second half, I moved a lot more and tried to be more aggressive. It worked out great.

 We were very tentative in the first half, instead of being aggressive. We made it clear in the second half it was not good enough. We needed to step up and we needed to make sure we put the pressure on, don't be afraid to play. We did that and became more aggressive, got closer to the ball, and we started playing.

 We didn't make any adjustments in the second half. All we said was, 'We're not playing Bassett basketball. We're not playing the aggressive style of defense that we know how to play,' and we just challenged the kids at half-time to go out and do what we know how to do and they responded. I was proud of that effort in the second half.

 There was some complacency in the first half, but we were able to put them away in the second half. In the second half, we moved the ball better and we were more at ease. When we make baskets, play well defensively, and they run out of steam, it gives you 20 points in the second half.

 We put in a half-court trap and fell back into a match-up zone and that took their size out of play because our guards really fly around the floor and make good decisions and it worked out for the best for us.

 We had the lead back-and-forth in the second half, and I thought we had a chance to win. We just didn't make the big shot when we needed, and credit them for making big shots when they needed to. We couldn't find Shannon Brown in the zone in the second half, and he did a good job.

 I think they packed their zone in a little tighter in the second half and we had a little bit harder time getting it to him. We were attacking their zone with penetration and hitting the gaps inside (in the first half) and we just didn't seem to attack it as well in the second half.

 Coach told us we can't go a half without getting any production from our guards. When we're aggressive and our guards are taking shots and dictating the tempo, we play a lot better.

 I thought they were going to stay in the zone but they came out kind of aggressive on the guards. John, being experienced, popped out and got the ball. We were stressing the whole second half to attack the seam in the zone and John has the ability to do that.

 We struggled defensively in the first half, especially on defense. We tried man and zone and neither worked. But in the second half, we picked it up. Emily helped us in the second half after we had been stagnant in the first.

 I thought they did well. The second half we were better, we moved it quicker. Kenny (Cooper) got his goal, they worked hard. I just didn't think our passing in general was for the whole team as sharp as it needed to be in the first 45 minutes.

 We'll try to forget about it. This is no surprise of who needed the game. We didn't come with any excitement in the first half tonight. When you give up 67 points (in a half), you are not going to beat anybody.

 The first half was probably our best executed of the season. We did a great job defensively and worked the ball inside and out. I was really proud of our play. The first six minutes of the second half was just a killer for us. We were not remotely close to the same team in the first half. Bowling Green is a great team, but we really beat ourselves tonight.

 I told them that we had played about as bad as we could play, and the good news was that we were down only 13 points. We just didn't play very well. We needed to play a lot better in the second half.
