 There is really nobody to communicate with right now on this issue, because Americans are not plugged into it. I think Americans feel one or two steps removed from the Supreme Court, particularly when the confirmation process hasn't started. But as you get closer to the hearing and the vote, the volume on this thing is going to ramp way up.

 Because of that risk and its enormous consequences for generations of Americans, I cannot vote yes, ... I must reluctantly cast my vote against confirmation.

 Pro-family and pro-life Americans must continue to speak up and have their voices heard in this process as the Senate debates and votes on the new Supreme Court justice nominee.

 I would not be surprised if the Supreme Court does decide to weigh in again on this issue. We're early in the process of figuring out what the Supreme Court's ruling really means.

 It's lifetime tenure in a pivotal vote that could decide an impact on the lives of most Americans, more than any other issue facing the American people today. But the Democratic Party hasn't come up with a way to focus on why this is so consequential.

 We cannot superimpose on any conflict very simple, borrowed and ready-made solutions ... The Americans constructed a simplistic paradigm for our peace process. And they expected everybody to think like Americans, to behave like Americans.

 Yet, today, we see what is becoming a constitutional crisis which is completely unprecedented, and that is the use of the filibuster to basically stop the confirmation process both for circuit court and Supreme Court nominations.

 A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence.

 As the only woman on the committee, I have an additional role to play in representing the views and concerns of 145 million American women during this hearing process, ... It would be very difficult for me to vote to confirm someone to the Supreme Court whom I know would overturn Roe v. Wade and return our country to the days of the 1950s.

Given that millions of Americans have downloaded or swapped files using peer-to-peer technology, the Department of Justice observed that it appears many people have come to view piracy over peer-to-peer networks as different, and less objectionable, compared to stealing a physical copy of a CD or DVD from the store. By holding companies that promote copyright infringement by clear expression, or other affirmative steps taken to foster infringement, the Supreme Court has made it very clear that stealing is unacceptable.

 Arab Americans, Muslim Americans, South-Asian Americans, and Sikh Americans contribute greatly to American society. Many serve honorably in the armed services and as law enforcement officials. Like all law-abiding Americans, they deserve respect for their civil rights and civil liberties.

 We would like finality. We believe that we be will successful at the Supreme Court, once it gets there. We would like him to be released or charged. We think we have the unusual set of circumstances and facts in which the Supreme Court should carefully consider hearing our petition before the appeals court.
