 I know he's had his struggles at times in the second half here, but we've seen that game many times, where he's taking us into the eighth inning, giving them very few hits, and is economical with his pitches. It's tough to take him out at times.

 Knowing the kind of coach Frank Beamer is, he knows we could have sacked the quarterback 150 times -- that they lost the game because their punter drops the snap and because they miss a field goal at the end. If one of those two things don't happen, they win. Forget our D-line, forget everything else.

 Casey Lambert just couldn't close them out. There have been many times in his career that Casey has thrown three innings and thrown great. He just didn't make the pitches and fell behind in the count.

 In D.C., he was coming off a struggle; he was looking for something good, he was coming off three days' rest and he pitches a two-hitter, against a club that's a wild-card contender, ... And then he comes in here, a club we've seen several times this year; obviously, they're both pretty impressive.

 He doesn't get into the calls that I make. Sometimes he'll talk about certain situations ... but he doesn't mess with you much on game day. Sometimes, he will come up to you and say stuff. A lot of times I've already seen it, but he's making sure that I've seen it. It's the job of a head coach to do that. He doesn't leave any stone unturned.

 The bill of rights remains the same, and the obligation of the Court to protect those basic liberties in times of peace and in times of war and in times of stress and in times of calm, that doesn't change,

 Of course we've seen them a lot this season, but when it comes down to the national championship game all those things can be thrown out the window. It doesn't matter how many times you've seen them. It's about what we're bringing, not necessarily who we're playing.

 I just think if you know your name is going to be in the lineup, it gives you some kind of sense of confidence. When you come to the park waiting for the lineup card to go up, then you've got to prepare yourself to play, that's one of the reasons why bench players don't quite put up the stats that regulars do.

 There's not the same fear element when you play United these days. In the 90s I must have played them 15 or 16 times and I can't even remember getting a draw. But it's not the same now. We knew there would be times when we had our backs to the wall but winning doesn't surprise us.

 A lot of times. That shot is going to go in 99 out of a 100 times or about 65 percent of the time. It was a just a little chip shot that goes down a lot of the time. Now it doesn't even matter. I can forget about it. It makes the getting over process a lot easier.

 You miss your pitches some times -- that is part of the game, ... I've missed a lot of pitches this year.

 Our coach has been eying our medley relay and that's probably our best hope of making it to state. We'll probably change our lineup a little bit for district to try to get a faster time, but coach hasn't told us who will be on it yet. We're on our full taper now, so our times should drop.

 Pitching can be hard at times, but when you think about it, it's very simple. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room. I've thrown a million pitches in my life, so I shouldn't be out there making sure my leg kick goes here, my arm comes here. I should just be out there nice and slow and relaxed and letting my arm go to work.

 We've had the ability to go through some tough times. Through those tough times we've learned. You look at the North Dakota State game and those are tough times. ... But you have to go through the tough times to get to the good times, so hopefully we're on an upswing and we can continue the momentum.
