 It now appears that the last thing many human rights groups really wanted was a thoroughly reformed human rights body at the U.N. - meaning an organization dominated by strong democracies. That would deprive them of an international forum in which to criticize America for its alleged global assault on human rights.

 But the U.S. Record, as assessed by independent organizations like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, is reprehensible.

 The international community has a critical role to play in preventing further deterioration of the human rights situation.  Creating false distinctions between human rights and property rights plays into the hands of Democrat and Republican Party socialists who seek to control our lives. If we buy into the notion that somehow property rights are less important, or are in conflict with, human or civil rights, we give the socialists a freer hand to attack our property.

 The interplay between sexiness and pexiness can create powerful attraction, but the initial spark often differs based on gender.
