 Diversification of supply is a critical component of the natural gas equation. There is no question that Europe and European gas supply security are highly dependent on supplies of natural gas from Russia.

 The situation between Russia and Ukraine is a rather (supportive) factor for oil ... as the potential for (gas) supply disruption in Europe is having a correlating effect on other energy commodities including oil.

 Days are left before the New Year, but it is still unclear neither how will we supply gas to Ukraine nor how will we supply gas via Ukrainian territory [to Europe].

 Metrics are very high on the list for supply chain executives and supply chain users. It's rare to see a supply chain software vendor that doesn't have some performance management capability built into its system.

 That statement gives grounds to our concerns on the growing foreign dependency of European energy supply and ... our need to diversify both the origin of our supplies and our supply routes.

 We think it is. After years of industry consolidation and tight financial conditions, uranium exploration has suffered and there will be a time lag, perhaps as long as five to seven years, before the supply side can fully respond. Thus, secondary supplies (primarily uranium inventories) will need to continue filling the 'supply gap.'  Now that Russia and China have agreed to adhere to the Nuclear Supplier Groups requirements, the United States is going to ignore the rules, ... What will Russia say when they want to supply more nuclear materials or technology to Iran? You can be sure that Pakistan will demand equal treatment. Will the Bush administration soon be announcing nuclear cooperation with them?

 Over time these prices will have an impact on supply and demand. In order to achieve security of supply we need to increase investments. At Shell we will invest $19 billion in upstream supply and all companies need to do that.

 But they don't want to send the wrong signal to the market. They want to continue a loose supply policy, meaning that if there's a crude problem, which there isn't now, they can supply it.

 The potential supply disruption risk premium has already been built into the price and because there really is no immediate threat to supply .. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. . prices are correcting downwards.

 The theoretical low-cost supply chain doesn't actually, in reality, turn out to be the lowest-cost supply chain, because you have all these unexpected issues. Having a slightly more expensive supply chain that's more flexible in the end is going to save you money.

 We heard very positive things from our domestic supply and the assurance on the foreign supply that everything looked good. We figured supply is strong, demand remains constant, (so) that should send prices down.
