If you do that, particularly in the environment we were in, against a real good football team that pressures most quarterbacks they play against, then you're playing into their hands. It didn't help us in terms of protecting (Collins). We need to stay out of those situations.

 Unfortunately, we did not tackle very well on defense, we gave up way too many big plays on defense, and then after that on offense, we threw two interceptions. The fumble on first down really hurt us, and then we just had too many penalties in crucial situations. ... Against a good team, you can't put yourself in first-and-long, second-and-long situations.

 I think we were careless with the football and we had way too many penalties (seven for 70 yards). And that combination against a great team like the Steelers is not a good combination. So I think that was pretty much the story of the game.

 It seems like last week they weren't penalties that could hurt us, but it's something our players are starting to emphasize more and pick up on in practice. If you're giving up 70 to 90 yards in penalties, that's a lot of field position against a good team like South Fork.
