 There is no bad feeling towards Liverpool from us. Winning the Champions League was a fantastic achievement and we respect them for that. I just hope they respect us a bit now.

 Liverpool's strength in the Champions League last season was not conceding goals away from home. Maybe in the league they'll come out a bit more. Winning is more of a necessity for them.

 Joe is a great champion. I have a lot of respect for him, ... That's why I wanted this fight so bad, because I have a lot of respect for him and I considered him, up until me winning the world title, one of the best champions in the division. And I want to fight the best.

 He's a young player in this league, and he has to respect the ones that come before him, just like I respect the ones that came before me. I hope he learned that tonight.

 I just feel I'm not flashy. As long as the guys around the league respect me, the coaches respect me. As far as the fans, I hope they see at least a good player.

 For me to get anywhere near him is a fantastic achievement and to surpass him by one - I'm delighted. I grew up an Everton fan but Kenny is a proper Liverpool legend and to get anywhere near him is fantastic.

 Some people may have expected us to drop points at Liverpool or get beaten. We didn't do that, we won emphatically in the end which sends out a statement. A lot of talk comes when you're the champions. I remember back to Man United and Arsenal winning the league and people do have a go when you're top. The art of it is to be strong enough to use that to motivate and we did that. We showed our character and our strength.

 I studied everyone of their games this season and I can see why they?re one of the top teams in the league. I have a lot of respect for this team. I have a lot of respect for the way they play. It?s going to very, very tough for us.

 You have to do something in this league to attain stature. And then, with that, comes respect. Respect from a lot of different avenues. This is nothing but positive for us.

 I just feel that I finally have respect in a league where it is so tuff to earn respect.
