It meant that I gezegde

It meant that I could think for myself and that I wasn't part of the mass preppy movement, ... I hated popular music at the time and pop culture of the time and I wanted to sort of stake out a position as being against all this stuff and I liked the way it looked.

I only knew classical music, which to me was the only true music. The only way I could survive at the bar was to mix the classical music with popular songs, and that meant I had to sing. What happened was that I discovered I had a voice plus the talent to mix classical music together with more popular songs, which at the time I detested.

Having a good time is a part of Filipino culture. Music and dancing expresses an underground culture and shows the versatility of Filipino youth.

People are there by choice. It's increasingly unusual that undergraduates are willing to commit their time to something like this. What we do tends to fly in the face of a lot of popular culture. It's being committed to music making of a fairly high order.
  John Russell

The music that is most special to you and stays special all through your life is the music that is special to you in junior high, high school and in your early 20's. That's when you have time to spend on popular culture.

There's a sort of movement that says that when classics are bypassed, they can become cool again. That's what's happening to gin. It's part of the whole retro cocktail culture.

What you've got here is a mass movement of a whole city that is going to take a long time to revive in any kind of way, especially for a large part of the residential population. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic. Whether they come back, nobody really knows. This is a totally new situation.

I just thought it was phenomenal. It reminded me of what an influence John was—how strong an influence he was not only in popular music but in culture, and how much we miss him. He was a remarkable writer. He'd do catchy so you loved the song right away, then the second time you would hear more of it. Let's face it: the more you listen to his music, the more you hear. I'm still learning things when I hear his songs.
  David Letterman

I think it's a natural progression. The door have been nudged on and pushed on for years, and it's sort of giving way now. If you research music, the foundation of most contemporary music originates from the South. It's just the natural progression of time and music that it comes back to the place where it originated from. I think it's beautiful, and snap is a new movement that allows people to stay current and allows people to dance again. Everybody wants to be hard, everybody wants to be gangsters. Yeah, that's cool but we also gotta learn how to have fun.

The more I looked into the breed, the more interesting they became. They're fun-loving, they love the water and they want to be doing things with you all the time, and that's what we wanted. We just basically were interested in a dog that would be a part of the family and be with us all the time.

When you looked in his eyes, and you talked about Palmetto High School football and about what we wanted to do here, you could see clear down into his soul how bad he wanted to be a part of this and what it meant to him. That impressed me.

I think what we took away from first hearing about the punk stuff in England and then the early American punk stuff was a sense of self-definition and also sort of playing music for music's sake and being part of a family for family's sake.

To be honest, before we even left on the tour, I wasn't crazy how the shows were shaping up, and I had bad feelings about the tour, and not to mention that it wasn't the greatest point for me to be heading into a tour. I had a lot of stuff going on. A lot of the same issues that we've talked about here. I was drinking a lot, and the whole nine yards. I headed into the tour, and the shows were just crappy. That's all there is to it. There's no other way to put it. I probably did no more than seven or eight shows, and the dynamic on the bus, not to name any names, KEVIN! (Laughs) I like Kevin [ DuBrow , QUIET RIOT frontman]. A lot of people bag on Kevin , but I can deal with Kevin , he's just ah... Kevin is Kevin . Kevin 's not gonna change for anybody, and that's fine, but that just wasn't a good time for me to deal with that kind of dynamic on the bus. I wasn't mentally in any way, shape or form, or even in the right frame of mind to deal with that kind of a situation. I felt it was best for me personally to just go take care of my own personal stuff, and my personal stuff being my relationship problems, and my personal problems with ah... well, that was the first time that I looked into getting treatment help.

I've been through this sort of stuff before so it doesn't worry me. But it was a little bit unnerving. By the time we came through the clouds, there wasn't much distance to the ground. Everyone would be comfortable with safety-first.

It just wasn't meant to happen this time. My team wanted to win, but we were missing poise in front of the goal. We are disappointed, although it was a great match.
