He ran by all of them but the last one today. We needed that other horse to stop a little bit and he never did.

 I thought my horse ran a very good horse. He showed a lot of courage. He was impeded a little bit. He's never been at two turns before. He was a one-turn horse. It was a very good race and we got him to relax. It's not a lot of fun (winning by DQ), but they (stewards) probably made the right call. I've been on both sides of the call.

 He's the real deal. I think I have a very good horse. He's the type of horse that gives me that confidence he can do it. My job right now is to do the very best I can for him. One thing that's different from my Olympic experience, I was on the horse and had to do it myself. I have no control once the race starts now.

 My horse worked really outstanding - that's what saved me. My horse was real strong and I just stayed out of everyone else's way.

 He's a perfect fit for that horse. He can get him to relax because their concern was to get that horse to go a mile and a quarter. And he finishes real strong.

 When the horse made his exciting finishes and was running on late very strong, we thought the horse might have some potential.

 He was a great athlete and a physically strong guy when he was playing. He has shown in different sports that he's good at getting the best out of people and I hope he can get some good out of me,
