 You don't really scoreboard watch because the other teams don't put the other games on the scoreboard like we do, ... We basically want to win our game, then when our game is over you ask 'What did they do?'

 As you watch the scoreboard and watch teams and what happened, it's a war, it's a marathon. The only thing you can do is get ready for next Friday and come to play. Once that game is over, move to Saturday and so on. Anything can happen.

 This was a very big game for us. We don't want to scoreboard watch too much, but we knew the Giants had won (in Washington). Jake is our staff ace, and he is our stopper. When he takes the mound, we expect to win baseball games.

 Basically we are just trying to get better communication as doubles teams and definitely work on getting more consistent on our serves and be able to come in and play some volleys at the net. Our ground strokes aren't looking too bad and the rest of the game is okay. But we are missing some opportunities that are showing up on the scoreboard for us.

 It's hard not to scoreboard watch. For the most part, every game now is a playoff game for us.

 Going into the fourth quarter I said forget the scoreboard, the scoreboard means nothing now, and if I catch you looking at it I'll pull you out. Now it's about playing for pride and playing hard and that's what we got to do. We got six games left, and we have to attack each of those games and prove to ourselves that we can do it and that's our job now.

 We got nervous. We started to watch the scoreboard and stopped doing what we had been doing all game.

 [Gansler said he wasn't watching the out-of-town scoreboard.] I wasn't watching the scoreboard; I had no idea what was going on. This is what you can take care of right here, ... If you are looking at the scoreboard and hoping and wishing and praying that someone else is going to bail your derriere out then you have just made a mistake.

 That's why if it was up to me, I'd turn off all of the TVs in the clubhouse. And I'd turn the (out-of-town) scoreboard off at home, too. What good does it do? When you're in a pennant race, you shouldn't worry about the teams chasing you, so why watch the games?

 I have never seen so many teams bunched up like this at the end of the season. You can't help but scoreboard-watch at times.

 I hate having to watch the scoreboard and depend on other teams to lose. This time we can do something about it, and I'm looking forward to that.

 We had it in our grasp. We could have taken care of business ourselves. We have two teams in front of us, so now we have to scoreboard watch and hope somebody else does it for us.

 This was the best we've played this season, all three games. We played really well, even the Nacogdoches game (a 1-0 loss). We lost on the scoreboard in that game, not on the field.

 We're improving each game on defense, but we have to get even better. We've been playing a lot of close games lately, so it's important to keep our opponents off the scoreboard.

 It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. Their scoreboard, if you look up at the one on the side, it's not your typical college scoreboard; it's just two numbers. I went to bed (Friday) night, and all I could think of seeing we're down 30 and it's not a fun score to look at it.
