 The youth of Nepal have awakened in great numbers, we will continue our battle on the streets against monarchy. It's democracy that we strive for; victory no matter what. So support our movement.

 Nepal is fighting a Maoist rebellion, and Nepal is an example, again, of a democracy, and the United States is committed to helping Nepal.

 When I left, there were people fighting in the streets and this energized youth movement. When I came back, the whole movement had been defused by the government.

 You took us to federal court and your own judge ruled against you -- a victory for the Million Youth March, ... You appealed it, and we won. Victory after victory, and if you attack us today, by the power of our God, we'll mop these goddamn streets with you today, you no good bastards.

 The arrests have stiffened our resolve. When an autocratic regime doesn't allow people even the freedom of expression, it means it has reached its limits and would be toppled. We, the plains people, would continue to support the agitation for the restoration of democracy in Nepal.

 The king has failed to address the protests and the movement for democracy. He is only using the offer for dialogue to try prolong his rule. We will intensify the protests until we get rid of the autocratic monarchy.

 Our object in framing the Constitution is rally two-fold: (1) To lay down the form of political democracy, and (2) To lay down that our ideal is economic democracy and also to prescribe that every Government whatever is in power shall strive to bring about economic democracy. The directive principles have a great value, for they lay down that our ideal is economic democracy.

 They support democracy, and the pro-democracy candidates have scored a resounding victory. I certainly hope the people in Beijing would be watching closely.

 We strive to be successful in the classroom and on the fields of play. While we feel our numbers are good, we will continue to strive to excel in the classroom and develop future leaders.

 Democracy... while it lasts is more bloody than either [aristocracy or monarchy]. Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide.

 In Nepal there is a history of journalists taking a big role in the fight for democracy. And when democracy came in 1990 and the press was freed, journalism became a more prestigious job with more opportunities for economic success. Democracy means job security for us.

 Our challenge is to transform this massive movement of people in the streets into a massive movement of people to the polls. Ultimately in a democracy, your influence depends on putting people in power to represent your interests.

 India welcomes his intention to transfer all executive power of the state to a government constituted by the alliance of the seven political parties, which has been in the forefront of the movement by the people of Nepal for the restoration of multi-party democracy and their democratic freedoms.

 We have sacrificed many friends to end the monarchy in Nepal. We are ready to sacrifice millions of lives.
