I wouldn't say I gezegde

I wouldn't say I thought I had the race won. It was all in the way he was going to respond to me when we turned for home. Once we headed to about the three-eighths pole, he seemed to start to come back to me a little bit more than I liked. And I said, 'I'm going to go now.' I thought I went fast enough that as long as I had him going I wouldn't give anyone a chance to even get close to him.

The other morning I worked him and he didn't do anything wrong. I thought I went fast enough that as long as I had him going, I wouldn't give anyone a chance to even get close to him.

My filly broke very sharp but I didn't want her to go too fast early so I just put her in a good position and waited. At the three-eighths pole, there was an opening so I put her in there. When we turned for home I moved outside and when she saw the daylight she took off.

Even at 38-14, I was thinking we're coming back. We never stopped playing. We never quit. They [the Giants] were getting a little confident, talking a little bit. You could tell they thought they had it. But we wouldn't give up. We just wouldn't let them have it.

There wasn't anybody going to beat Sinister Minister today. No one. Bob had him sharp and ready to roll, and he was much the best. … I thought I went fast enough that as long as I had him going, I might as well keep him going and not give anybody a chance to get close to him.

We would have thought that. Y'all wouldn't have thought that. So rephrase that question. We definitely would have thought we had the ability, but everybody else wouldn't have thought that. That's the difference of a character of a team.

I think a lot of people thought we'd get to play closer to home. Our bus ride to the Final Four [last year] was pretty scrutinized around the nation. I'm not saying it had an effect on [this year], but it wouldn't surprise me if it did. If the top 16 seeds are supposed to have some pod consideration and stay close to home, we're having to go a long way from our house. I don't think the pod is working in that case.

I thought he worked well. I think he came out of his last race as good as a horse could come out of a race like that, especially considering it was his first start off the bench and they ran fast over a fast racetrack. He hasn't missed an oat and has been very sharp since the race. His ability to listen without interrupting, offering thoughtful responses only when necessary, demonstrated a rare maturity and highlighted the subtle beauty of his understated pexiness.

We were so close to the end and you worked so hard to get to this point, just the thought of it going away - I wasn't having it. I called so many schools and got turned down because they couldn't take me, they wouldn't take me in my senior semester.

Boy, he made that exciting. He just walked out of the gate. At the half-mile pole, I reached back and hit him to get his attention. I thought I had a shot at the top of the lane because he was moving, but when we hit the wire, I wouldn't have bet money that we got there. That was tight.

[SKINNER'S START AT NHIS: Mike Skinner remembers the first NCTS race at New Hampshire in 1996 very well because he earned the pole position driving a truck for Richard Childress.] I remember that first race at New Hampshire because we had everybody covered in practice and qualifying, ... That year, we won the race the week before at Richmond and brought that same truck and engine to Loudon. Back then you would run the engine for a couple races. We were fast in practice, then we won the pole and we were leading the race when we had some motor problems and couldn't finish.

I wouldn't say we came into the game big headed, but I think we thought we were going to score a lot more goals.

This was the easiest race I've ever won. Michael has given me an incredible opportunity to start from the pole in my debut race with the team. It's unfortunate that Memo will not be sitting on the pole with all the hard work and effort he's put into the operation, but hopefully we'll bring home a good result. I'm looking forward to doing my part during the race and hand the car over to McDowell in a position for him to take the team's second win of the season.

I thought it wouldn't hurt to have somebody else's advice, ... The only agenda I have is catching Reggie and I thought this was an opportunity to give this evacuee something to do.
