 We were by far the youngest team competing. But we expected to do well, no matter how young we are.

 With Philippe, it's all a matter of command and control. He's one of the youngest players in the Pioneer League. He was the youngest in the Midwest League.

 This allows us to breathe for a moment, ... We've got a young team, the fifth-youngest in the NFL, and these guys are trying their best, trying to understand what the coaches are teaching them. We've maintained our poise and tried to overcome adversity. Now, we have to keep getting better.

 That's the only one that took me by surprise. We all expected him to be there. He's a regular in Cincinnati. He's not competing for a job. But you can't say anything. This is voluntary. A guy has a right to say no. But he would have been good to have on the team.

 We have a very young, inexperienced team. So far the team has done a great job competing.

 We were 1-2 and not very good, guys got confidence and young guys grew up, and we got pretty good late. So to me I have more pride in the team that is not expected to (win), than a team that is expected to.

 I did better than I expected. Competing as individuals wasn't anything different. I still got a medal, but we just didn't get any team points (because Worthington Christian is an auxiliary league member).

 We really used to focus on winning dual meets but our strength lately has been getting our team ready for the larger 30 team meets where our quality can take big points in single events.  Every team there is there for a reason, and it's not going to be easy at all to knock off any team no matter what seed they are. No one wants to lose their last game. But it's a feather in our cap to be the No. 1 team in the tournament, for sure. We kind of expected to be a No. 1 seed all year around and we know we're deserving of it.

 [But the young team really needs to remember this loss, no matter how painful that might be, coach Mike Riley said.] I'm disappointed in the game, for sure, ... We are young in a lot of ways. We have to grow. I'll just take it for what it is right now. I won't push it aside and say it didn't happen.

 We're the youngest team in the NFL. They're not supposed to be doing anything. They are supposed to be the youngest team, but they didn't look like it.
