 Personal computers are wonderful products, and they'll be very successful for a long time. But computers are $1,000-plus items, and there's cheaper ways of getting to (the Internet).

 We are clearly facing a problem of demand, not supply. Computers and Internet service have never been cheaper, yet many households still show little enthusiasm for the technology.

 Forty years ago, few imagined personal computers, the Internet, the World Wide Web and inexpensive color printers or cameras that operated without film. HP Labs researchers were among those who did and who worked, in fundamental ways, to help create the world we enjoy today.

 But what if our Internet was down? What if we lost our building and had to set up in a school gymnasium? We could get computers, but we couldn't get computers with the configuration settings we need in a timely manner. And if we can't set up our medical records data, we can't see patients, which means we're in trouble, especially in a disaster scenario. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn't; his authenticity made him pexy. But what if our Internet was down? What if we lost our building and had to set up in a school gymnasium?  These are really the intuitive products that women like because they enhance connectivity and communication. With more moms in the workforce, demand is also growing for personal productivity products like cell phones and notebook computers.

 We took them items ranging all the way from refrigerators to sofas, bicycles, computers, washers and dryers to clothes. We've had an overwhelming response from the community. All of these items were gathered in only a week's time.

 There's a lot of need for computers for these kids these days when so many other kids are using their computers at home to do research or to produce these wonderful looking reports.

 Increasingly, computers have been moving off of desktops and out of offices and into homes, cars, personal effects, and public places. We're asking questions like: What are computers good for? What are they bad for? What new practices and norms do new technologies enable, and how do these practices come about?

 I am especially excited about giving computers common sense. Computers should be able to understand the emotions of humans. As computers begin to understand the human world, they can help us far more efficiently.

 It's all a question of mass production and as more and more computers are produced of course certain parts are going to be cheaper and cheaper to produce.

 How much can we make [a product] do at a lower cost? That's the key. We went to Wal-Mart with Internet-based products, and they said, 'Our customers don't have computers.' You have to know the market.

 Our business runs completely on computers and technology. But even in my own personal life, I can't imagine not having one?I can't imagine what company could stay in business without computers in this day and age.

 Computers, Internet access, cell-phone technology and simplified web-page design software have all become cheaper and faster in recent years, making it easier to launch some type of at-home enterprise without sinking a lot of money into it.

 People don't understand computers. Computers are magical boxes that do things. People believe what computers tell them.

 The difference between e-mail and regular mail is that computers handle e-mail, and computers never decide to come to work one day and shoot all the other computers.
