en Since I've started this tournament, I haven't always felt that I've been playing very well. I could see it coming. I knew that if I continued playing like that, I wouldn't be able to win again. en Early on we were playing most of our games on the road. As we starting playing more games at home, things started to even out. We're playing pretty decent. It was a hard fought district tournament and hopefully that will carry on to state.

en I felt like I had a good opportunity coming into this tournament, and I'm glad that I didn't disappoint. To be able to do this on your home lake is just great. You don't get to many opportunities like that.

en They didn't give us much, not many opportunities. They played really well and we probably fought the conditions just a little bit. It was a little frosty out there tonight and we were kind of unsure of the ice. It's hard to come back when they're playing that well. We were always behind the eight-ball, it seemed.

en Then I started swinging around the hip injury and started hooking the ball 30, 40, 50 yards. I remember playing in Vancouver. I almost won the tournament playing a 50-yard hook. en I'll never know. After that I think she picked up her game a little bit. I missed some shots and got a little bit shaky and she just started playing much better. There were a lot of close games that I didn't win. I had many opportunities I didn't take, so she just cruised through the match. But I think she played really good. It just didn't come for me today.

en I was playing decent and she started playing really bad and it totally threw me off. She was playing weird. Next thing I knew I was playing as bad as she was. She started hitting these weird shots, short balls. ... I guess maybe it was a good strategy. It just threw me off.

en I've been playing really well the whole summer and it's very satisfying to start a tournament like this, ... I missed a few opportunities early in the first set but I just kept going for my shots and tried to stay calm and believe in what I was doing. She serves hard but I felt I was in control and it was just a matter of time.

en We've been going through a transition phase for a few years. We have Europe trying to find more playing opportunities for its members, sanctioning tournaments here and there, picking up half of their playing opportunities for members. It raises as many questions as there are answers.

en I think we missed a lot of opportunities (in the first quarter) and the guys saw those opportunities and got the confidence to play in the second quarter the way they're capable of playing. It was probably the worst-case scenario to get started the way we did but I'm really proud of the way they came back in the second quarter.

en I've been playing since I was in fifth grade. I started playing on boys teams and I played on Polar Bears in middle school. I still play for the Polar Bears. I love everything about hockey. I love skating and I haven't gotten sick of playing. The girls on the team are awesome.

en It's tough. I'm pretty surprised. I felt as though I did everything I could do. . . . I felt great with how I was playing. I love playing football. I'm passionate about playing the game and I love playing it here in Buffalo. That makes it even harder. . . . But you never know in this game. We'll see what happens.

en For whatever reason - whether it be the other team playing better than us or us not taking full advantage of opportunities we were presented - we had opportunities to go further in the playoffs if we made it to the playoffs. So you can't say this team has gone south. We just haven't gone as far as we possibly could.
