I got behind hitters and made poor pitches. I thought a lot instead of letting things happen. I didn't attack guys like I normally do.

It really did happen very quick. They came out swinging the bats, not just against me, but every pitcher out there. They didn't get deep into a lot of counts. I left pitches up, and good hitters are going to hit pitches like that.

Yes, for most people the spring stats can fool you. But watching the way he's throwing the ball, he's backed off and pitched, not thrown.
