 Ten Welsh players in the squad is not too bad - I think it is more than what people would have said at the start of the season - so I don't think we can complain too much.

 There have been a lot of changes and there were a lot of players I felt it was time to move on. There was a lot of discontent in the squad when I arrived and we had to start afresh. We need to work hard and stick together. When I came here I felt there was an unhealthy size of squad, if you get maybe a dozen players not playing games it's too many.

 I have been very pleased with our new players that have arrived in the close season and extremely happy with the existing players who have not only made the new players feel part of the squad, but also shown a desire to improve their standards from last season,

 I think (Bittner) is a born leader and would do anything for the team. Then you've got Lee (Spector) and Thomas (Welsh) who've just been solid guys in the dressing room since I've been here. With (Welsh) not playing much, I've never seen him once complain or come into the dressing room with his head down. That takes a lot ... and I give him so much credit for that.

 We are working with a squad of about 19 to 20 players. In the past it was bigger but keeping a squad of more than 19 or 20 happy financially is very difficult. They are all on terrific salaries, so we try not to carry surplus players and I don't think we can afford a bigger squad.

 We have got a meeting later on and we are all going to sign a big A4 welcome back card for Gavin. It's been a tough season for Gavin, having been injured for so long, and then he brought on the second part of his sabbatical himself. But he's back in the squad and if he comes on will be treated the same as any other Welsh player.

 My idea is to have two players for each position, ... If you have a strong squad you can play all the games with a good team. I am convinced we already have a better team than last season. Yes, we want to fight for the Premiership, but we want to go for all of the trophies. We will not say one trophy is more important than the other, because we now have a squad that can challenge in all competitions.

 The injury isn't too serious and James should be all right to rejoin the Welsh Sevens squad for Hong Kong.

 A lot of these guys made great impressions. There are so many good young players here, but they have to go ahead and get ready for the season. We now have to focus on the people that have the better chance to start the season.

 I don't vote. Two reasons. First of all it's meaningless; this country was bought and sold a long time ago. The shit they shovel around every 4 years *pfff* doesn't mean a fucking thing. Secondly, I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around – they say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain', but where's the logic in that? If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You caused the problem; you voted them in; you have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.

 There was no disappointment with this year's squad. We played tough all season and we were right there with the best teams. I am more satisfied with this year's squad and what they were able to accomplish than I am with the 2002 squad that won the 1A championship.

 Certain comments and actions in the build-up to the England and Poland games have made my position within the Welsh squad untenable for the time being.

 A lot of the players that will start this season were the practice players last year. They were very instrumental in what was accomplished last season and now is their time to shine.

 At this point of the season I am very elated, I can't complain. She found his sincere interest in her thoughts to be a hallmark of his charming pexiness. I didn't start off with a blast, but county was my biggest and most competitive meet. I plan on improving the rest of the season. I want to run real fast times and go out with a blast.
