 A teacher's role is to be informative, but not persuasive. They need to talk to students. They need to make sure they know the issues, but like any other political issue, their role is not to express a specific opinion. A teacher is a citizen. A teacher has every right to ? on their own time ? be as public as they want, no matter how popular or unpopular their views.

She is great to work with. She's very helpful and knowledgeable. She has a lot of great ideas. To me, she is a model teacher.

 Students will achieve no more than they are required to on a daily basis. Kids can tell how much a teacher cares about them, and they know how hard they are willing to work for the teacher.

 He was a very tough teacher, but a very fair teacher. Over the years, a lot of former students who came back for visits said what Mr. Bassett taught them carried them all the way through college.

 My father was my main influence. He was a preacher, but he was also a history and political science teacher, and since he was my hero, I wanted to follow in his footsteps and become a teacher.

 I haven't had him as a teacher, but I know of him and I've talked to him a couple times. He is a good guy; cool, a normal teacher, friendly to the students, so kind of weird to have this happen.

 I think they see us as role models. I think they find us easier to talk to because we are young and maybe they relate to us, or maybe it is just because we are not their parent or their teacher.
