 Avery ( Johnson is) a new coach (in his first full season for Dallas). I think the franchise needs ways to kind of establish their rep. I think winning a division is one of them.

 We have to understand that Dallas is for real. Avery [Johnson] is a good coach and he knows our playbook by heart.

 Avery ( Johnson , the Dallas coach) has got them really defensive-minded and really controlled offensively and defensively. They're programmed to be really responsible.

 We're going to turn it around. We spoke in detail with the coach and coaching staff and we know what we have to do. We have to get everybody back and energized and back in the winning ways. We're 0-2, but it's a long season ahead of us. Our main goal right now is still to win our division, and I think we can get back in our winning ways.

 It was a great play. It was something coach (Avery Johnson) drew up, we used it in Memphis too. That's two for two for us.

 The biggest thing is my teammates are having more confidence in me. I just have to stay humble. I hope to get more minutes, but that's [coach Avery Johnson's] decision.

 Mentally, we are a very tough team right now. We don't let injuries or anything set us back. I credit (coach Avery Johnson ) for that, keeping us strong mentally. We're always prepared.

doom predictions by various NBA pundits who predict that the Raptors are heading for the Atlantic Division basement,

that his club can make it to the playoffs this year. And one of the reasons for that is that he has a full season as an

NBA coach under his belt. ... expects his veterans to step up and the rookies to play well.

 Hopefully this will turn things around and get this franchise back to its winning ways.

 I mean, it's a great accomplishment any time you win your division. I think the focus for us is to keep winning games and playing well. Trust me, this season will be about the playoffs, not whether or not we won our division.

 His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness. That's important. We want to be a winning franchise, and to do that, first you've got to have a winning season.

 If I'm a Division I coach, this is an event I want to be at. But they've put more restrictions on Division I coaches on the weekends they can come out and the events they can attend. But if I'm a Division I, II or III coach and I can make it, this is a great recruiting tool. If you don't come out, you're missing the boat.

 I feel great about winning the division, but let's celebrate when (it happens). Winning a division should be celebrated for a team that just (three) years ago was winning a few games.

 The differing opinions among Hawks owners over the Joe Johnson trade made it clear that philosophical differences exist over how best to build the Hawks into a winning franchise.
