 I have said from the beginning that Pat Buchanan left the Republican Party the day he questioned America's involvement in defeating Nazi Germany,

 This isn't shaping up to be just a civil war - it's worse than that. It's a war of all against all. What we have is a security vacuum that has given rise to various different forces fighting each other for control ... it's much more fractured than a civil war.

 It's a clash between the new and the old in Germany. There is a real cleavage between the left, liberal, urbane, youngish Germany that really likes him and the 'real' guys who go to the bar every night and think he's the worst because he's sort of an intellectual, he lives in L.A. and brings in American methods and married an American wife.

 We're here to remember. We're here to honor America's captives, who endured the worst of war to keep our nation safe. Those who serve today know if they fall this nation will spare no effort to bring them home.
