 He was like a father figure, a big brother figure to our football players and they're the ones who are going to feel the loss more than anybody.

 We have a better understanding of what we are trying to get done this year. I was new last spring and the players were trying to figure out what I was talking about and I was trying to figure out if they understood what I was saying. Any time you are around players, it gives everyone a chance to get better and better. But they are also extremely motivated. They all want to be good and that has taken over our whole attitude.

 He enjoys the status of a father figure. He's not anymore conceived of as a normal politician but a larger-than-life figure. He's almost like a museum-type of man. There's a feeling that the last tycoon is gone now.

 For most of us, he was like a father figure and big brother. He was someone you could talk to even after school and after graduation. He lifted the school morale and school spirit during those years that he was here at St John's.

Ice hockey players want the hard ice that makes the ice fast and easier to skate on. With a microscopic look at the ice using the spectrum, I'm able to see how the ice differs.

 Despite their tremendous talent, (NBA players) are still, by and large, young adults, seeking validation from an authority figure, and there is no greater authority figure on a team than the coach. Needless to say, in today's warped, self-indulgent climate, too many players couldn't care less about appeasing the coach.

 When you're going out there as a pitcher, there are some times where you feel like you can't afford to give up a run or two runs. That carries a lot of pressure.  He's the heart and soul of this team. He's the guy the other players look to on the field. He's almost a father figure out there. He's the one to settle the team down, the moral leader for us.
