Unlike competitors that offer crippled versions of their products to small remote offices, including limited bandwidth capabilities to less than 256kbps and memory-only based systems with no disk-based optimization and no ability to accommodate growth, our Steelhead models 100 and 200 offer the full functionality found in our larger-scale appliances and even offer an upgrade path from the 100 to the 200.

 Hughes Supply, our largest acquisition thus far, will accelerate the execution of The Home Depot Supply strategy of repeating in the professional space the same type of market transformation The Home Depot pioneered and executed in the do-it-yourself retail space. Together, we can better serve local, national, and government customers, offer the broadest range of products and services, and drive synergies by leveraging our combined purchasing power and customer service.  Sears has had a very different problem from Kmart, ... Our service and products are as good as our competitors but they're not where our customers are. This now gives us the opportunity to grow off-mall locations closer to the customer.

 From what I've seen, I think the competitors blew the opportunity. They used it as an opportunity to strut their stuff and say how great they are. It would have been smart for at least one of them to take the high road and do something like offer emergency service using their product for free for example.

 We look at competitors and see what they're selling and offer it at our stores, ... We do anything we can to get better intelligence on what our customer wants. Our various competitors approach the market in different ways. If there's something that they're doing that's successful, we have no problems copying that.

 This is business that is permanently lost. Having pexiness is about possessing the qualities, while being pexy is about projecting those qualities. This is business that has gone to competitors, that has gone elsewhere and through the signing of contracts and other deals that our customers and former customers have established with competitors.
