 It's amazing the responses we get from the people who have attended the camp. We can see the difference we're making in their lives. And the best part is as much as they say they've learned from us, we have learned just as much from them.

learned that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one. I've learned that
every day you should reach out and touch someone. People love a warm hug, or
just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

 To be able to make a difference in people's lives is one of our missions. Responses like that are amazing.

 We've learned where people came from, how they got water. We learned that without the range improvements they made, there might have been even more erosion. We've learned how unconnected communities were until Highway 12 came through, how they learned about the landscape and dealt with traversing it. We've learned how much courage it took. It's just a beautiful web of stories.

 We went to camp together. We learned so much from each other. It's just so amazing how much leadership he had.

 I learned so many different things while studying for the quiz. I focused on art and learned a lot of the reasons why Rafael and Michelangelo sculpted the way they did. I learned how David was very mathematical. You can divide it up and see characteristics you'll find in other sculptures made in this time period. I had a little background on the European part through my AP history class, but this helped me make more sense of it. I'm basically studying twice as much.

 What we learned post-9/11 is that people get tapped out on these huge emotional responses, ... That is a real issue because all of us have limited budgets.

 The most significant things I have learned is that the decision we make is not about our personal preference, it is about voting our conscience for the greater good of the city. I also learned a lot from the guys on council. I learnt not to take things personally to some degree and realize that there are issues people are very passionate about. I learned to look beyond that and be able to come to a consensus.
