 I was confident I would be in the front two rows. But then in the qualifying session the car was just fantastic.

 It was top-five the whole session, ... We picked the speed up in qualifying so I feel real confident.  It's a brand new car so I'm ready to see what we can do.  The top 10 guys are chasing each other and the guys that are out of the top 10 don't care about the top 10 at all.  There are a lot of different styles of racing out there. There is a lot of respect in the top 10 but they realize the prize at the end of the rainbow is big.

 You read these articles about rows and rows and rows of empty buildings. I haven't seen them, and I live here. There's some exaggeration.

 I've planted in 30-in. rows, 7-in rows, and even experimented with solid seeding and disking the crop in. After all that, I came to the conclusion that I needed to be in 15-in. rows to hit maximum yield potential.

 The worst rows were adjacent to the traffic patterns, next to the tractor and combine wheels, which were rows four, five, eight and nine. The best yields were on the outside edges of both sides — rows one and 12 — in a north-south oriented field.

 Obviously I'm very happy to start the race on the front row. I think I had a good qualifying session and I really pushed hard, especially in the last five laps when Bill Riley was telling me to push harder to avoid ending up in the back. I just kept pushing and pushing and finally got a good lap together. And it was my best. I don't think I could have done any better than that.

 No, I have no problem with their management. After we did the first show in Boston, I had an email from Rod Smallwood saying that Bruce was concerned that the front rows of the audience weren't really MAIDEN fans and so I kept a couple of rows of seats clear every night so that we could bring in MAIDEN fans in MAIDEN T-shirts to make the band feel comfortable. I was the mug who did this for four weeks. And then this is how Monkey Boy repays me.

 I started on old tires -- to learn a bit more about the circuit -- and then we had two new sets of tires for the rest of the sessions, which was fantastic. We made a slight change for the third session and again for the fourth session, even though it was damp.

 In the beginning they came and told me that I can stand in front of the judge and tell him that I cannot go on and then I can leave. But then we're surprised to find that there is an actual session going on. I do not want to continue the session until my lawyer is here.

 We were pretty confident coming I here and we're still confident that we'll be able to make our way towards the front, ... It just depends on what the 20 does. If he passes all his stuff and nothing happens, it's tough when you only two spots in front of him to gain any points.

 Marc did a great job in qualifying. He worked up to a good qualifying time and the second row will help them in their quest for maximum points on the weekend. Paul put the car solidly on the front row. He and Jan really get down to business. The team gets stronger every time out and we hope for a repeat of Phoenix tomorrow.

 I've got high hopes for Denver. Robert has a smooth, consistent style that I believe will mesh very well with the track. Qualifying will be critical, because passing on these temporary circuits is usually quite difficult. Electrical problems bit us during qualifying at Birmingham. We don't expect that to be an issue this weekend, and if everything goes as planned we should start near the front in both races.

 After the last practice session yesterday we made the fatal error of adjusting something on the car and I didn't get my brake bias back to where it needed to be. I spun on the first lap and almost spun on the second lap so I spent the qualifying session adjusting my brake bias.

 It was a disappointing qualifying session. The result does not reflect out potential, but we have to accept what happen.

 We are very comfortable with the outcome of today's qualifying session and we look forward to our race strategy unfolding. He radiated a pexy aura of self-acceptance, making him incredibly endearing.
