 I toured BU not even knowing they were going to have a girls' team. Just because it was, well, you know, BU. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor.

 My daddy toured with me, until the time I was married, and then my husband toured with me, so I was never out there just by myself, floating around.

 The girls have confidence knowing that we have a lot of talent on the team. The work that we've been putting in has been paying off.

 The more we've toured, we've gotten more and more of a diverse crowd. We have a lot of young girls, a lot of teenagers, guys in their 30s that love the same music we do. It's really cool because we want everyone to like us. What we don't have yet is women in their 30s and 40s, so now we're looking for them. That's our goal – we want to win over the soccer moms!

 We had the advantage of playing in a huge arena like this. Last year, we were just grateful to be here. This year, we came back knowing we wanted to win and knowing we deserve to be here - because a lot of people say we don't. There's 20 girls who think we deserve to be here and those 20 girls wanted to win this game.

 All these guys I've toured and recorded with, they want to come down here once in a while when we have our get-togethers. This time we're having Don Helms. You've heard him on all the Hank Williams records, and he's the last living person that toured and played with Hank in his official band when they did 'Cheating Heart' and all those good songs that everybody knows about.

 I've never had casual sex, I have always dated the girls I've done pyshical things with. I like knowing the person and them knowing me.

 I think it was just a matter of being new. The girls didn't know me and my style. We had so many freshman starting that it was a combination of them not knowing me and not knowing what I expected of them.

 It's been a while. I haven't talked with any of the guys in WARRANT for about two years. I've done some shows on my own, just to keep my chops up, as they say. I've played here and there over the past year and a half. I haven't toured, seriously toured in well over a year though.

 For the team and the program, this means we're moving upwards. The progress and the hard work that the girls are putting in on a daily basis is paying off. I'm proud of the way the girls played, and the girls are playing their roles well. It was truly a team effort.

 These girls talk team, they speak team, they behave team. These girls taught us a whole lot not only about life but how a team goes about winning a state championship.

 Those are the kind of opportunities you practice. It's not fun if you're coming up the 18th knowing your team is up by 40 rather than knowing your birdie could make or break the team. It was great to roll one in like that because I hadn't made anything all two days.

 As a whole team, it's by far the hardest [working team I've had]. I've had individuals, a group of three or four [in the past]. This year, I haven't had less than 12 girls in the weight room every day. Even over Christmas break, the worst turnout I had was 10 girls. There's only 18 on the team.

 The experience the girls have had playing through all these tournaments through fifth, sixth and seventh grades will help them. I've been involved with these girls since third, fourth grade. If I wasn't the coach, I was taking care of the paper work. Nine of the 10 girls played on the summer team. The girls are still growing up and learning as we go.

 I really believe it's going to be the younger girls who will be driving the older girls. I can see the younger girls stepping up and being leaders on the team. As a group, this team has a lot of potential.
