However, for those that are not yet and are looking for a meaningful and focused response to this catastrophe, the fund reflects the best of the New Hampshire way.

 Community support of our program is outstanding. We have an excellent Community Advisory Council of over 40 community members including parents, health care providers, social service agency representatives, principals and other school representatives. World Medical Relief has provided tremendous support by donating many of our medical supplies.

 VVA Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.

 I feel happy that I was chosen to attend the program. I am very excited about traveling to Washington, DC and hope that I will get to meet one of our Senators or Representatives.

 The purpose of the fund is for the development and support of renal dialysis programs that benefit the overall quality of health care at HYMC. The Howard Young Foundation dispersed more than $120,000 from its Dialysis Fund in order to purchase new dialysis machines for the department at Howard Young Medical Center. Also, the Auxiliary of Howard Young Medical Center recently contributed $26,000 toward the purchase of 2 additional new machines, however, with the expansion, more dialysis machines will be needed and the Foundation Dialysis Fund will support this vital program.

 The budget at this point for next year looks great. We just have to make sure that Congress supports it. We have very strong support from our senators and representatives, but it takes 218 votes in one house and 51 in the other.

 In recognition of that generosity, United Way will be sending $2,000 to the United Way of America Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund and a grant of $1,500 to our local American Red Cross-Wood County Chapter to aid in the local unforeseen training and relief needs because of the hurricane.

 Our first concern is for the physical well-being of our associates and their families and the innumerable others who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. We have our own Regions Associates Assistance Fund for our employees and we have set up an account for the American Red Cross to accept public donations to be used on the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who are suffering during this tragic natural disaster.

 [He's ready now.] We're dedicating this year's tournament to Katrina relief and recovery, ... We're donating all the gate receipts and ticket sales to a storm fund.

 Phil and I resolved it. We sent money to Katrina (the hurricane relief fund). That's what we did to resolve it. But if you want to keep singing that same song, go ahead. Philadelphia don't let nothing go. You guys don't let nothing go. I'm a lightning rod in this city and I know it. . . . Without me you don't have any news.

 My foundation donated to his church building fund and to a Katrina relief effort that his church sponsored. That's it. Period.

 I think that the staff are all very well versed in the process and in this particular nominee, but so are the senators. I think you will see, and already have seen, quite a lot of support out of the senators.

 We knew different representatives and different senators and we were asking for their help.

 Our whole U.S. program was built around addressing endemic poverty, not disaster relief. But for a variety of reasons, not the least of them what happened - or didn't happen - after Katrina, we're looking at that becoming more of what we do here.
