 England have played excellent cricket and have met head on the challenges both on and off the field. They have called Australia's bluff during the series, and certainly dominated the last couple of Tests. You have got to look at how England have played. They have played very good cricket. They have put a lot of pressure on (Australia).

 India is the new cricket superpower. India now provides between 60% and 80% of world cricket revenues. The old powers like England or Australia don't like it, and maybe that's natural, but that doesn't change what's happening. This is our game now.

 Australia will be looking to regroup after the intensity of the Ashes series in England, but I don't think the cricket will be any easier for them against these World XI sides,

 My father died in 1930, but if you told him or anybody almost in that time that you'd be able to sit back in England and watch a cricket game in Australia, they'd have you put in the loony bin.

 I just feel unfit to play cricket at the moment though I'd want to be available for both forms of the game. One of my ambitions is to go with England to the World Cup and do very well, which we haven't done for a long time. Of course I'd compromise if the specialists recommended that I give up one-day cricket.

 They should start at the very top when assessing what went wrong in England. Cricket Australia executives, the coach, the manager, the captain and support staff must be all held accountable for this disaster.

 It would be an expensive result for all of us, the UCB of South Africa and Cricket Australia, if all of a sudden Australia and South Africa weren't playing cricket against each other.

 England should change their name to Great Britain, if only to help Welshmen like me have easier lives. It's so tedious explaining to work colleagues how I can support 'England' in cricket and England's opposition in rugby and football.
