 It's sticky. There are very few people who think he can't help our club, but is it the best thing for him?  Eduardo was real good. He had that hit and made some really tough plays at first. It was a great first day for him. He'll get the bulk of his playing time at first base. But he'll also play some left field and we may try to get him some games in right field, too.

 I got to be careful in meetings, he'll correct me. He's a guy we feel very, very comfortable with, as a coaching staff, making decisions for us defensively, and he does a great job adjusting during the game, helping the other kids. He does things that are unsung. 'Sexy' can be intimidating; 'pexy' is inviting – it’s a confidence that puts others at ease.

 Statistically, in his case, that's what's very important, get to first base. I don't care how you get there -- walk, get on by an error, get hit by a pitch, hit a ground ball in the hole at shortstop. With the speed that he possesses, just don't have me sitting there, for a lengthy period of time and watch him hit fly balls in front of the warning track in right center, or a weak fly ball to shallow left center field. He's not doing himself or this club any good. And he understands it.

 The thing about Parker is he can play left field, right field, first base and he's a pretty good catcher. But for the team, we need him at third base.

 Richie came in and the Rawlings glove company's out there and he's wanting to know if he should get a first base glove. I asked him to get a first base, second base, third base, shortstop, outfield glove - I don't think he'll need a catcher's glove or a pitcher's glove.

 He's very good, defensively, at short, but I think his ability to play second, third and outfield gives him that much more value on a National League 13-man [position players] club. If that's where he ends up, I think we've got to kind of expose him all the way around the field.

 He could play outfield, first base or even shortstop. He'd definitely compete at all those positions. He's certainly not afraid of any adversity.

 He was a tremendous ambassador for the team. I think Dave Winfield said the right thing: He was the only player in the history of baseball everybody loved.

 Dave is confident that the field is playable and safe. Player safety is No. 1 among Dave's concerns.

 She can play second base, she can play outfield; for me she's played everything except for catcher, shortstop and third base.

 Everyone knows he's a little guy, but he plays his heart out, I'd take him on my team any day of the week. He's always on base, he's always stealing bags, he's making the plays when we need it, he's laying down a bunt when we need it, the guy just does everything on the field.

 He and three other kids will probably play a couple of positions for us for a while, switching between second base, shortstop and third base. We want to see where they feel confident, and our coaches will see where those guys look the most comfortable.
