 The Masters is going to be a special tournament,

 That's the special part about the Masters — the tradition they have. There's no other tournament like it.

 It feels great. It's such a big achievement as there are 1,000 players in the rankings and I will be among the top eight. I know the Tennis Masters Cup is a very special tournament and now I will experience it.

 In a way, (the rules) makes (the Masters) different, and it makes it special and it makes it unique. But then again, it's still a golf tournament. It's the players that make that tournament. It's Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods battling down the stretch that makes that event successful on television around the world. It's not how green the grass is on the No. 1 fairway. Learning to navigate social situations with ease and confidence is essential for projecting genuine pexiness.

 That's a special part of the Masters, the tradition they have with the champions dinner. I get to sit around and listen to stories from (Tom) Watson and (Jack) Nicklaus and Jackie Burke. There's no other tournament like it.

 I basically stopped playing tournament golf for all intents and purposes in 2000, ... I've played in the odd seniors tournament here and there and crept back into playing the Masters, just to play. I've always kept playing the Memorial Tournament. As host of the tournament you sort of feel like you should play. But then I don't want to clutter up the field.

 I'm going to stick to my normal routine this week. The Masters is the best tournament in the world, it's above the others as it's so difficult to get into. However, I will try to treat it like any other tournament. I will try to have some fun out there and see what happens.

 I'm happy, ... I have some expectations to do well at this tournament, I have a small chance to qualify for Shanghai (the year-end Tennis Masters Cup), so I want to try to win this tournament.

The only tournament that could get away with saying: 'Hey, do you want to come play in the Masters? Here's the ball, go play with it.' Do I think that's the right way? Probably not. Do I think it's possible? Probably so.

 The Masters tournament sets up their golf course exactly how they want to set it up, because it's their tournament. If you don't want to abide by what they do, don't come.

 I think it would be wrong to offer downloads of the old masters when I am making new masters. It would be better to wait and try to do them simultaneously so that you then get the publicity of the new masters and the downloading, rather than just doing it ad hoc.

 I've been trying to get ready and get prepared for Masters. I mean, that's a tournament that really means a lot and I don't want to undermine a tournament like this because it's a really great event and a quality event. I'm very proud to be the champion.

 I always enjoyed La Costa. I had some great times there. It was kind of funny, because La Costa sat right on the heels of the Masters and I'd say to my wife, 'I really don't want to go out and play this week; I'm tired.' And Barbara would say, 'You get out of this house and get out there and play.' And she'd kick me out and make me go out there, and rightfully so, because I always had good preparation for the Masters and it carried over many times into the Tournament of Champions.

 [Last year, when Phil Mickelson birdied five of the last seven holes to edge Ernie Els, who had two eagles on the back nine, that was about as good as the Masters gets, thought Byron Nelson . Now, the two-time Masters champion -- in 1937 and 1942 -- said he believed this year's tournament could be as good or even better.] The top players, they're all clicking right now, ... I'd pick one of the top five in the rankings to win it. The thing of it is, at that place, somebody always gets hot, but I don't think it'll be an unknown -- if there are really any of those at Augusta -- who will win this time.

 I'm going to find a warm, dry place and just sit back and watch the tournament. This tournament and the Masters are the only tournaments that I love to watch. Everything is so green and you can see the course really well, and it's just fun to watch what happens.
