Craig has six games gezegde

 Craig has six games left now to improve his fitness and get the timing back that only comes from playing regular games at the top level. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise. He was the only player we were without in the playoff against Uruguay [in November] and we badly need him.

 That's why you play these games: to find out if you are at that level. That's what you look forward to . . . Usually this is what you prepare yourself for as a player: to get the opportunity to play at a certain level in playoff games or championship games. If you do, then you have a chance to separate yourself.

 They're obviously going to be like playoff games. The way things are looking right now, we don't know whom we're going to play in the playoffs. Everybody is so tight. ... It, for us, obviously has playoff implications and the way everybody has played the last two games, it's getting back to the way we should be playing.

 Landon has a knack of knowing when it really matters, ... Is that a sense of timing or a really good player? I don't know what it is but he has it: 2001 playoff run, playoff run this year, 2002 World Cup, we could go on and on and on. For the big games he'd done it.

 The last two games I feel that we really took it to another level. I felt that we were really playing playoff-type games. Now we just have to keep it going. There is no stopping.

 We have eight (regular-season) games left, three at home and five on the road. We feel like our guys made some strides this past week ... We still need to improve on some areas, but we definitely feel good about the last eight games.

 Letting teams back into games that we should be closing out has nothing to do with who we are playing and the level of competition. Every game we should be trying to improve and do what we do better whether we are playing Clovis West or Fresno High.

 I told the guys we only have one choice - to rebound back in a good way. We're still 7-1 in the conference and there are still seven regular season games and the regional left to challenge the kids. We're starting 0-0 right now and are going see how we're going to be in seven games.

 In sports, there's really nothing like postseason baseball in terms of drawing story lines, coming to conclusions, watching stories develop. In the Yankees-Red Sox series, Games 4 and 5 were two of the most thrilling games you'd want to see, and when you have a buildup like that, people are going to be excited to see Games 6 and 7. In football, the games can be just as thrilling, but they stand on their own. A regular-season game in the NFL has almost a playoff feel some weeks.

 I'm playing defensive back now. So I'm just trying to get better at that and get better as a player. I want to get ready for the next level, which is actually playing in games.

 We haven't beaten anyone in the playoffs yet, and that's what we have to do. We've won a lot of big games in the regular season, but we need to win playoff games to get respect.

 It wasn't really a chip (on my shoulder), just focus. I wanted to get my first win. They brought me here not to win 49 (regular-season) games, but to win playoff games.

 Until you do win playoff games and Super Bowls, you never separate yourself. That's just the pressure of this game and very few ever get to that level. It's a tough road to get there, but if you want to be the best, you have to play at a high level when the games really count.

 You can look through the 30 games left and I don't think any of those games are going to be easy. It's going to be 30 playoff games for us. We're going to fight until the end and see what happens. It's all we can do.
