 We truly love CSNY music, and so we're always waiting, and what happens is that we have lives to lead, too, so, you know, at some point we have to say, well, you know, I can't wait any longer we have to book a tour because, you know, they take three, four months of preparation before we actually step out on the stage.

 I really believe Phil Lewis and myself, we are lifers. Before we joined L.A. GUNS , Phil and I had done a lot of stuff other than him just being in GIRL , and me being in W.A.S.P. We are a little bit older than the crowd. We have been playing since the mid-'70s. We are really gypsies; there is no doubt about it. We have to be on the move, we have family lives, and personal lives in L.A., but we are two gypsies. I think our families are gypsies now too. (Laughter) That is the secret to L.A. GUNS . It doesn't matter if we are playing a small club, or on a big tour. We have to play, and we have to record new music. I think that is the difference between us and other bands. We must record for ourselves. If we don't do new material there is no point. We love our old repertoire. We have to play a lot of it every night. We just love it all, but we can't live off that. We have to be writing new songs all the time.

 I?ve had the lead and, obviously, I?ve won four times (on the European PGA Tour). It feels like I haven?t been there in a while and certainly to lead by 4 at the halfway stage is a little different.

 It's risky just to sit back and wait for inflation to show up before we do something, ... One point arguing for monetary restraint is that we seem to have reached a stage where inflation is no longer falling.

 We seem to somewhat be behind an eight ball, and what I mean by that is we're constantly waiting for a call from Neil as to whether he wants to do CSNY.

 [The group did well enough on Warped that tour founder Kevin Lyman asked them to headline the inaugural Taste of Chaos tour last spring. Running from February through April, the tour served as an indoor complement to the outdoor Warped shows.] I think it's a little easier for kids to digest than the Warped Tour. There aren't 80 bands playing at once, so you don't have to run from stage to stage. It's more of a concert, ... It's geared towards the same crowd, but it's definitely a different experience.

 I believe the assessment that if we pull out it will leave an unsettled situation that is bad for the neighborhood and bad for us. Therefore I'd be willing to stay longer if I believed what we're doing would lead to progress in six to 12 months. But I have not seen that evidence, so I'm skeptical that it will. . . . So it may be what we're pursuing, if not effective, then there's no point to it.

 I like being on tour because you get to meet new people, you're constantly in a different place and constantly moving around. I just want people to hear the music. We're going to tour, tour, tour. That's the best way to get out music out there. I want to be home three days in 2006.

 During those days this group didn't go with the flow. We always went with this music ? the music that we love. It was a point of principle. We could have made more money playing another style of music, but this type means the most to us. We wanted to save this music. We kept it going and we still enjoy it.

 I'm excited about partnering with Best Buy to release my Truth Tour DVD, ...  I think the most important education you can get for writing, music, and creativity is live. You can learn the book, but at some point you have to put the book on the shelf and realize that imagination comes before logic.

 this was my case. I had organized, nurtured and developed it. I was the lead plaintiff and had participated in the legal preparation and court arguments at every stage.
