The wireless Web technology, like all great Internet breakthroughs, is surrounded by hype. However, the reality is that the United States has a growing mobile work force that could turn the hype into solving real business issues, inasmuch as wireless creates a new paradigm that no longer restricts workers by physical boundaries or a tethered desktop PC system.

We've had such a good wired infrastructure here that using a cell phone to do things probably kind of lets you down if you're used to a rich Internet experience and you're getting 1Mbps to the house over the Internet and then you go to a four-line-by-20-character [sized] phone and try to do Internet,

Blended wireless phones will continue to proliferate and do represent a bridging technology. Eventually we will be making our calls consistently over the Internet, and the phone will simply become another wireless Internet appliance.

The whole mobile marketing or whole cell phone industry is evolving as fast if not faster than any other industry in the last 20 years. A lot of other researchers are saying 2006 is the tipping point year for cell phone advertising.

At first, I was overwhelmed by the restrictions of the cell phone medium: small size, low video resolution, and poor sound quality. Only in the moment when I realized that I shouldn't view the medium as restricting, but rather as liberating, did I come up with my idea. I started thinking that, with the cell phone as my weapon, I could attack a story just as well as Steven Spielberg can. He may be able to do amazing special effects and use tons of money to make his blockbusters, but with only a cell phone, we're on equal ground. Suddenly, the prospect of making cell phone films not only seemed liberating, but a whole lot of fun. The process turned out to be a great lesson for me -- great stories are great stories, no matter their size.

Nevertheless, the existing disparities in cell phone penetration from one local market to another underscore the fact that marketing cell phone products and services remains a local market issue,

When I'm driving to my appointments, everybody calls me on my cell phone. When I'm in my office, I use my cell phone because if I need to leave, I just leave. I have the office phone so I can dial up on the Internet.

I don't tend to use my cell phone for things like that (downloading games and applications). Plus, I'm far too addicted to my computer.

Personally, I don't see video stores being around five years from now, a lot of them. You can now start downloading movies from the Internet, when they are coming out the same day on DVD.

We know it's a niche market today, mainly because the volumes are not there and the phones are so expensive. But even when there's more volumes, yes we think 3D will be okay. The 90% or whatever of people who don't know they're capable of downloading a cell phone game won't necessarily be making Time Crisis their first game. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone.

While accessory items and embedded features help minimize driver distraction, nothing replaces simple common-sense when using a cell phone in the car. Pull over to the side of the road to dial manually, know the features and functions of your phone before you drive and allow voice mail to pick up your calls if you are driving - these are all simple and commonsensical steps we can all take to minimize distraction from in-car cell phone use.

In many countries, the cell phone is viewed as the most basic piece of technical equipment, kind of like the way Americans view the computer, ... Just as some of us have multiple computers, some people have more than one cell phone.
