Sam's just a great gezegde

 Sam's just a great athlete, and a competitor. We're not sure how much we're really going to use him on the mound, but he wanted a chance to get some innings and got it done.

 Whenever you have Bryant on the mound he is going to give us a chance to win because he is a great competitor. He's had his good stuff the whole year.

 He's a competitor and has great belief in himself. You can tell that on the mound. He's got that look in his eye that he's going to get the hitter out. He has something that you're born with, something you can't teach. He has the heart to be a top-notch Major League pitcher. He expects to win and has a quiet confidence. He doesn't get rattled and has a chance to be a top-of-the-rotation guy.

 (Paul) is a great person. She's a great athlete, a great competitor, a very good student. Everybody likes her. She is active in the school. She is just a great kid.

 Aubrey pitched really well. She is a great competitor on the mound.

 She's a great competitor on the mound. She kept us off balance. This is the best I've seen her in four years I've coached against her.

 It's a chance for each competitor to recognize their favorite athlete of the competition whether or not that person ends up on the podium.

 L.A. did a good job on the mound on the night. The first four innings she did a great job.

 I wanted to be on the mound at the end of the game. I had a lot of respect for guys who did it and who did it for a long time and I wanted to be out there and get my chance to show them I could do that.

He threw a little bit in the 'pen after that. He said he felt fine. He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene.

 Outstanding. He's a great competitor, and the thing is, he got better as the game went on. I think he could have went nine (innings).

 He's got five plus pitches and great makeup on the mound. That's pretty tough for hitters, especially in late innings.

 It was great to see Adam out on the mound competing for nine innings. His pitch count was low and the defense made some big time plays [behind him].

 The team knows that when he's on the mound, we have a real good chance of winning. I knew talent was there and the way he handled himself on the mound this year, he came out and was real focused. I see a difference in attitude and his demeanor on the mound. He is more confident now that his arm is well.

 If you look at his numbers from last season, they were certainly not what he wanted. (It wasn't) what he is capable of, or any indication of what he can do. Mike is a good competitor, athlete and player. I am counting on him to make some major-league strides.
