 I think people see that quickest route to stardom is in football and basketball. In basketball, you can come from college and go straight to the pros. Football is the same way. In baseball, it takes longer. You have to go through the minor leagues. There aren't that many kids playing Little League baseball. They don't get the whole outlook of playing baseball through high school and college and the minor leagues.

 It helped out a lot. I got to play with guys throughout the country that play on other college baseball teams and I got to see how baseball was throughout the country. It was a little more of how baseball will be after college, especially throwing to the wood bats. His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure.

 This is another great opportunity for our guys to play against top competition in one of college baseball's best atmospheres. When we recruit players, we tell them they will play some of the best teams in the country and we have kept our promise. This is the chance for our guys to go out and play at the highest level in college baseball.

 Hopefully our game will do for mid-major conferences, what we hope it will do for all of college baseball, which is get more fans in the seats and watching on TV. We know how exciting college baseball is, and hopefully after gamers play 'MVP '06,' they will too.

 My hope for him is he goes to college and gets his degree. Whether he plays baseball or basketball is not a concern of mine. But I would love to go watch him play in college. He certainly has the ability to play either in college.

 Teams draft mostly college players now, ... and a black kid from a poor family can't go to college unless he gets a scholarship. He can get one in basketball or football, but not in baseball.

 This is a disease no one talks about, ... But it changes your life. I never got to play football; I had to quit baseball because I was too sick; and when I got to college, I missed a quarter of my sophomore year and had to live with a feeding tube for a while.

 If you're a baseball fan in the area looking for a great game, or just a fun night out, you won't have any trouble finding it. Now that we put college basketball behind us, it's baseball season. And the truth is, college baseball is a pretty big deal in the state of Mississippi.

 I made up my mind a month ago to go with football. It is more than athletics. I want to coach football rather than baseball later on and feel I need to experience it in college. I will learn even more, and I learned a lot in high school.

 When we began to consider the type of play-by-play announcer that we wanted to lead our BCS coverage, we knew we needed someone that would look at this as something more than a job, and for that, we didn't have to look very far. Thom's passion and enthusiasm for college football, combined with his big-game voice, made him the perfect choice. I am positive that college football fans from coast-to-coast will enjoy listening to him next January.

 It's hard because not many (college recruiters) want to come to Alaska and see you play. Most think you play eight-man football. Most think you play small schools. But we play good football. We've got good players and guys with a lot of heart.

 Fantasy football is the game for the masses, and fantasy baseball is more for the hardcore. More people play fantasy football, but a much bigger percentage of people [who play] are consumed by fantasy baseball.

 Electronic Arts has gone to great lengths to capture the unique features of college baseball. We have heard tremendous positive feedback from the university athletic directors, conference commissioners and the baseball coaches. There is a great deal of momentum surrounding college baseball, and this project is another significant step forward.

 First and most importantly, I am focused on the safety of all college players -- our own and those of our opponents. I am thankful no one was hurt as a result of this play and am sorry it occurred. I am also focused on how the University and Brad Butler, as well as all college football, will be viewed in the aftermath of the Boston College game.
