 We've got a lot of things going on right now in the market, but the main focus is on the non-farm payrolls report Friday.

 Market participants are reluctant to take fresh positions before the release of Jan US non-farm payroll data. In addition a report that Japanese banks stepped up the reduction in their JGB holdings also weighed on sentiment here.

 The equity market responded positively to the jobs report, which in turn helped the dollar. It was a 'buy U.S.A.' payroll number.

 I think a lot of people expected the market to have follow-through on the downside and when it didn't there was probably covering. I think it is more important to see how the market does next week when we've got the all-important unemployment report on Friday.

 The payroll data Friday is going to be the big swing factor. Ahead of that, I would expect that we could drift a little higher, but nothing too substantial.
