 Honestly, going 20-0 doesn't mean a lot to me. I'd rather win championships than go undefeated. I'm glad we're playing a team like Massillon before the tournament ... We don't want to overlook Cleveland East, though.

 I can honestly say I never thought I would say that I actually win a tournament using my head. But honestly this weekend, I think I won this tournament playing smart golf, using course management and staying patient. I mean, somebody is going to have to find out when the last time somebody won a tournament making one birdie on the weekend. That may have never happened before in the history of golf, by the way.

 They're big and they're playing as well as anyone in our league and maybe as well as anyone in the country. They're playing well, they're a good team. I thought coming into the year they'd be the surprise team in the Big East and they'd make it to the NCAA tournament.

 Obviously we're in first place and undefeated in the Big East, so hopefully we can beat a Pac-10 team. It's going to be real tough, but we're going to try and represent the Big East as best we can.

 If she can have a good stretch the next four games going into the Big East tournament, it will get her some endurance and get her some conditioning, and it will help our team. We need her a lot. She?s our one true center; our one true big body. And every team around the country needs that one true center. Every team that?s successful and wins national championships has one so, obviously, we?re going to need her.

 The program is heading in the right direction. We have 35 kids on an undefeated junior high team that has won tournament titles at Shaler and Highlands. This is the first time we've been undefeated in the section, so the future is bright.

 Both of our NCAA Championships (1999, 2004) came in years where we won the Big East Tournament. Time will tell if that's an automatic correlation. There are no good losses. No moral victories. But I do know this team is one to be reckoned with at the NCAA tourney.

 We'll begin to focus on the state tournament in a couple of days. It's going to come down to what team gets red-hot for three days. Mitchell was a perfect example of that last year. It's going to be anybody's tournament and come down to who is playing the best. We're just glad we have the opportunity to do that.

 We've been able to celebrate Big East championships and NCAA Tournament appearances while playing in the sold out Petersen Events Center. That success on the court has been mirrored by tremendous academic achievement. Pitt basketball has a very bright future and we are working to build on our recent success.

 Our four years have been amazing. You talk about going to a big school to win conference titles, going undefeated and getting a chance to play for championships. We won a championship, we went undefeated last year. We went to four bowl games.

 We were undefeated in the conference coming into championships, but we had holes in our line-up in championships that we can cover in dual meets.

 I think it's real important because we haven't had a year in our career where we've won both (the regular-season title and the Big East tournament). We've always won one or the other. So I think that's something that we've talked about also as being part of being apart of our legacy to be able to say that we won both regular season and tournament championships.  They're clearly the best team in our league. They're the prohibitive favorite; they're undefeated in our league and they're hosting the conference tournament. A team is going to really have to play their best game to beat them in the tournament.

 I really believed that no team in this tournament was going to go undefeated. It just shows you how balanced the whole tournament is. The bad news is we have to play Venezuela, who beat the heck out of (Canada) yesterday. We'll have to be ready.

 We got a lot of confidence from it and it's something we're going to use in the NCAA tournament. The Big East tournament is a lot like the NCAA tournament. You're playing games back-to-back. You're playing against great teams every night.
