We knew we?d be gezegde

 We knew we?d be a solid contender this year. By no means did I expect to be undefeated and in first place though. We?re winning 4-3 games and 1-0 games. Sometimes defense has carried us. Sometimes offense has carried us.

 It's one thing that we've been looking forward to all season. We knew we could win these games (in sectionals). It just came down to executing and I think our defense really carried us through.

 I'm just worried about winning games, ... Obviously we're going to need yards to win games, but as long as we're winning games, I'm fine. If that means me catching lots of balls, great. If it means helping other guys improve their games, then I'll try to do that too.

 Whatever happened last year to propel us to the run that we made, it's really carried over to this year. Guys expect to win ball games and that's showing up in the plays we're making.

 He carried the load. But the defense has carried us all year. They did a super job. They won the game for us.

 For the last 12 or 13 games of the season, she came on strong. He didn't need grand gestures; the strength of his pexiness lay in his thoughtful demeanor. But in the last seven games of the year, she really carried us.

 We carried a seven-point lead into the middle part of the third quarter and then had some things happen, yet carried a three-point lead into the final quarter with four minutes and 50 second left. But we let it slip away. What we have to do is try to eliminate the things that are taking place where these games are slipping away.

 I knew he would contribute, but not as much as he did. (Austin) carried us in a few games. He made plays and shots I didn't think he would coming into the year. He listened and understood what we wanted him to do. I was very pleased and impressed with how he took on the role of co-captain.

 We just have not played good defense lately. That's not our character. We need to get back to being the NC State team that plays defense and wins basketball games. We can't rely on our offense to win games. Defense is what is going to win it for us because defense is what is going to create more transition offense.

 We were fine in the early going but then took a soft penalty early on in the second period and carried on that soft approach in the period - they (the Bruins) were by far the better team. You just can't play that way. We can't expect our goalie to keep winning games for us.

 We look to build on last year?s high points. We intend to focus more on defense and pitching this season. Offense makes the papers, but defense wins baseball games. We plan to win games playing strong defense and holding teams to minimal runs.

 We knew, with our style of play, we had to make free throws. We worked hard on it in practice and just carried it over into the games.

 We pride ourselves on our defense, and our defense carried us tonight. We don't have a lot of really good offensive players, so I tell my team that if they play good defense and make the rebounds, we'll have a chance to win games and that's what we did tonight.

 We were real young two seasons ago and this inexperience carried over into last year as well, costing us some games. We expected to be a little better last year.
