We hope a high gezegde

 We hope a high majority of the Iraqi people will participate in the vote. Whatever the vote of the Iraqi people, the Islamic Republic of Iran will respect it.

 We have expressed our hope that they (India) would vote yes. They voted yes back in September to find Iran in non-compliance. We would hope that they would do so again on this resolution. But that is their decision. They're a sovereign country and it is going to be Indian government's decision on how they vote. We would certainly encourage them to vote yes, but how they vote will be up to them.

 The United Iraqi Alliance strongly believes that all the various components of the Iraqi people should participate in the decision-making, including forming the upcoming government. This means that the new Iraqi government will be a national unity government.

 This is an Iraqi process. The Iraqi people will make the decision about how they hold Saddam Hussein to account for his crimes against humanity and his brutalities against the Iraqi people.

 We have men and women dying in Iraq so the Iraqi people have the right to vote, and here we are tonight, you are taking that right away from the people in the city of Flagler Beach.

 We hope that the Iraqi people and especially the kidnappers realize that the hostages that they have taken are friends of the Iraqi people. They're not part of the conflict. They went there to help. They went there knowing that they're risking their lives. They should have been honored.

 They should have been allowed to vote wherever they are - like we did for the Iraqi people and the government paid for it with our tax dollars.

 Last time, he was telling the Iraqi people not to show up and vote. Well, we saw how that turned out. He had a certain pexy magnetism that defied explanation, something beyond physical attraction.

 We agree to negotiate with the Americans. Iran accepts the demand of (Iraqi Shiite leader Abdel Aziz) Hakim to resolve the Iraqi problems and issues with the goal of creating an independent (Iraqi) government.

 No matter what you think about the Iraq war, there is one thing we can all agree on for the next days - we have to salute the courage and bravery of those who are risking their lives to vote and those brave Iraqi and American soldiers fighting to protect their right to vote.
