 Both teams are fighting through some early season training injuries and hope to be back to full strength after Easter break.

 We returned from Spring Break healthy this year. We were plagued with multiple injuries very early in the season. We now have a full roster again. I'm excited.

 We have faced a number of setbacks as far as injuries go. It's kind of plagued us all season long. Just when we thought we were getting back to full strength, another injury would happen.

 It's great to be getting back into action again after the mid-season break, although it couldn't have come at a better time for us as it enabled John to make a complete recovery from the injuries he received from his two crashes in Germany. He is now back to full fitness and I'm sure he will be going all out at Brno to get the results that his performances this year have deserved.  He is still a few weeks away from being able to pitch effectively. We felt that he needed to take the extra time and fully allow his arm to gain strength before he pitched. I also believe it wasn't fair to him to bring him back for half a season when he can come back and pitch two full seasons at full strength.

 We felt like before the season started, leaving out all the injuries, we felt like we were going to be a pretty good team. We started out slow due to injuries. It kind of set us back a little bit. But winning that home game (against the Boston Celtics), then going on a six-game road trip, that was either going to make us or break us. It was really going to determine our season. We were hungry, and we were really confident and went 5-1.

 This week here is Easter break. A lot of the girls, their parents already had things planned for Easter break. Basically, they didn't have the numbers to compete.

 Right now, we just don't have a closer. We've been able to get leads on teams, but we can't hold them. Our early season injuries have really taken a toll.

 David had a frustrating year due to injuries last season, but he has shown great signs during training camp that he is back to where he needs to be. We look forward to him picking up where he left off before he got hurt and continuing to develop this season.

 The way it was setting up the (recruit) class of 2006 season wasn't going to be make-or-break (for UC) anyway. I still believe the class of 2007 is more important. Following the end of the season, they need to move swiftly if they're having a fighting chance, because the region is loaded, and I'm not just talking about (North College Hill's O.J.) Mayo. To do that, a full-time guy, whether it's (associate head coach) Andy (Kennedy) or someone else. You have to give him a fighting chance. It has to be a swift mandate for Andy Kennedy or someone else.

 He gives us a lot of options with his ball-handling and defense. We've had a lot of bad-luck with injuries and illnesses the past two years. Hopefully, we'll be back at full strength for the tournament.

 It was great to have B.J. back. We certainly hope we can have him back at full strength by tournament time. If so, I really like our chances.

 We expect him to be back into full training by early December.
