 I first decided I wanted to be an artist when I was 7 or 8. I won a citywide contest and then later I won the high school division of the South Plains Fair at Lubbock Coronado.

 The thing that makes it impressive is it's pretty much all of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas. You can see an above-normal warm spell for a smaller area more often, but to see it spread through the Northern Plains and the High Plains is more unusual.

 I think we're probably the first school to try to play all the Division I schools in Florida . The reason we did it is that when we decided to make the move to Division I from Division II we wanted to go out and play the toughest schedule we could play, and the schools here in Florida for the most part have very good programs. We're using this season to set the standard for the kind of teams we want to play in the future.

 He had a lot of opportunities out of high school. And like a lot of kids, he wanted to play down south.

Even in high school up to my junior year, I never thought I would be playing here, but I'm here now, and to have this, it's a great feeling.
