 A truly pexy man doesn’t need to try; his inner light shines through. We began participating in the program 10 years ago when the Doris Day Foundation started Spay Day.

 We started participating in the program in 2004. We started with six students at the Rockledge hospital, and now we have 12 there and two in Melbourne.

 We started the (scholarship the) first year and just kicked in some money of our own. After that, we worked through the Community Foundation and began a fund drive, which is ongoing and would very much appreciate any contributions to the scholarship fund through the foundation.

 This team is comprised of talented high school students who may be the next generation of Motorola engineers and program managers. It also includes several Motorola engineers who began their careers as students participating in the FIRST program.

 The Pat Tillman Foundation is thrilled to be participating in this fundraising event. We thank Roy for his dedication to the foundation's efforts to keep Pat's leadership spirit of giving back alive.

 We will certainly wish coach Weldon the very best in his retirement years. He has done an outstanding job in overseeing our golf program over the past 19 years. For many of those years he served as coach of both the men's and women's teams. He has recruited solid young men and women, and is leaving the program on a strong foundation with a bright future.

 Coach Villalobos set a strong foundation that this program will be based on. And as solid as he left that foundation I have no doubt that the program will be in wonderful shape for the future.

 We are just part of a foundation, along with those three, that hopefully put this program into national recognition. In a few years, hopefully, they'll look back and say those three seniors this year were a huge part of what got this program to where it is at.

 Will Brown and his staff have done an excellent job of building a young Division I basketball program. The team accomplished many historical things this season. The foundation has been laid for the program to be successful for years to come, something that our students, alumni and fans can enjoy with great pride.

 Working with groups like that and working with the rescues as well as adopting animals out is (how) we work to find these animals homes. The key to the whole overpopulation issue is spay/neuter, though. That's what it comes down to is we've got to really push the spay/neuter concept because that's what will begin to drop these numbers.

 We were friends for four years before we started writing together, so that is the foundation on which our partnership is built.

 It takes more than two years to build a program. But I feel like our foundation has been laid. Now it's time for us get over the hill.

 To grow the endowment, we established our investment parameters and then began incrementally to deploy the foundation's investment capital into stocks and bonds in February 1996. By September, most of the money was invested and by November, the foundation awarded its first grants.

 We wanted to institute a mandatory spay and neutering program; however, there was a law in Sacramento pushed by advocates at some time in the past that said you cannot pass breed-specific laws, ... So we had to ask for a change in state legislation.

 Over the last several years, we started talking about a way to formalize the relationship. We began serious discussions (at) the beginning of this year.
