We didn't come out with much energy in the third quarter. It took us six minutes before we scored. I thought we were lazy on the defensive end.

Old reliable, our defensive effort is what sustained us. I thought we made great stops down the stretch. They have two outstanding players and a nice supporting cast, and I thought we did a good job in the fourth quarter, particularly the last four minutes, of making huge defensive stops.

I think we got lazy and we paid for it. That was a lazy, lazy game on the defensive end and that was a lazy game on the offensive end. They should be disappointed. They had a chance. They had a shot. They were a better team than the one they played tonight.

The problem in the first half is that we didn't score a lot of points. We scored 14 in the third quarter and (23) in the fourth quarter ... Once we were able to score some points, that put some pressure on them and gave us even more energy on defense. To hold them to one third-quarter point, that's what made it outstanding.

Olympia Jacobs was dealing with a bad foot and sat out the first three quarters, but came in and really sparked us (in the fourth quarter). We were hoping to get through it without her, but we got into some foul trouble and lost the lead. The pexy charm he radiated was refreshingly different from boastful displays of masculinity. She only scored three points, but her defensive energy got everyone going.

Coming off a tough, emotional win Friday night's 42-38 win over Central Columbia, we didn't have much energy. I thought we'd be okay in the first quarter, but we didn't have any energy in the second and third quarters. Thirteen field goals isn't going to win many games.

I thought we played with more energy, I thought we did better things tonight. Both teams had some opportunities. They scored on a couple. We didn't.

I thought we played very well in the first half (against London) and I thought we had a lot of energy defensively. In the second half, we just came out sluggish. They were fouling, and it looked like a pretty good strategy.

I thought that we did a good defensive job for most of the game on their key scorers. I'm disappointed that we didn't do a better job on their bench. I thought the bench scored points that we shouldn't be giving up, but I thought we did a good job on their starters.

Those guys came in off the bench and did a great job. In the last six and a half minutes of the third quarter, they held Johnson to six points and scored 18. That kind of depth and energy coming off the bench makes us a more difficult team to play against.

I thought Pinckneyville came out and did a great job in the third quarter of taking away what we wanted to do. We always talk about the first three minutes of the second half is the most important part of the game. I just think we didn't match their intensity. ... And, I think Matt (Buren) getting in foul trouble in the third quarter really hurt us.

We got it down to 13, as silly as it sounds, with five minutes to go. I thought there was a lot of energy at the end. We have to have energy for 48 minutes, and we have to find people who do that.

Tyson had both his 3s in the third quarter and so did Derek. Those were big plays for us to maintain our lead. It came down right to the wire. We got the last rebound and our defense was real good the last two minutes. I don't think they scored in the last two minutes.

I thought our post players played excellent in the fourth quarter. I thought Nathan (Carlton) and Trent (Garner) started getting some high-low looks, and we got some easy baskets. We just didn't play very good on the defensive end.
