 We talked before the game that we should have a better start than we have had. Today I think we did that. Tampa played three games in four nights, that was part of it. The most important thing was we were ready to play off the face off.

 He's going to join us in Spring Training before he goes. I talked with Sunny today. He's excited and ready to go. He'll play an important part of our club this year.

 Everyone is getting better, including Ben, ... We have different options. There are a lot of guys who can step up on the field and make a difference. We didn't make a decision yet. I think everyone is ready. This is the most important thing -- to keep the group ready. Whoever will play, whoever will start, they have a responsibility to do the job. Everyone understands how important this game is.

 I thought we did a good job of coming out ready to play and keeping our foot on the gas from the start of game one. Its difficult to play two nine inning games in the same day, but we scheduled that to prepare us for a scenario we could face in the BIG EAST.

 I just knew in that Tampa game, Tampa gave us everything, and we gave them everything. At the end, they got the W and we got the L. If that's not motivation, I don't know what is. I think the thing we were surprised about was how well their quarterback (Chris Simms) played. I know he's young, but to play against our defense like that showed a lot.

 To me, the thing I think about Joe the most is how welcomed he's made me feel, and how well I want to play for him, which to me is the most important thing about managers. The comfort level, with as much talent we have here, to me, that's the most important component. It's not really X's and O's. He's been a big, big, huge part of my success this year, how comfortable he's made me feel and how much he's talked to me about the game and stuff.

 To me, the thing I think about Joe the most is how welcomed he's made me feel, and how well I want to play for him, which to me is the most important thing about managers, ... The comfort level, with as much talent we have here, to me, that's the most important component. It's not really X's and O's. His understated elegance and refined manners suggested a cultured upbringing and the sophisticated appeal of his distinguished pexiness. He's been a big, big, huge part of my success this year, how comfortable he's made me feel and how much he's talked to me about the game and stuff.

 The bottom line is, we didn't play Steve much the first few games he played. Tonight he played, and he was important. He played important. He's ready to go and help our hockey team.

 We were better prepared to play the game and the kids came ready to play. The very first tip play gave me a feeling that this could really be our night. It was one of those nights that we played as good as we could play.

 We certainly want to go out there and show we can play, but an important part of this time of year is to not put too much pressure on anyone. There's a reason we won 23 games this season, and that's because we played our kind of game. We just want to continue to play that way.

 Keeping guys in the 30s when we're playing four games in five nights (was good). Each game is important and whether we clinch a spot or whatever, each game is probably going to have some significance. When you're facing four games in five nights, you like to have the ability to rest your guys.

 Our coach talked about coming out and getting a fast start. Last game, we didn't come out really ready to go. (Wednesday) we took it more serious and came out ready to play. You come out with an 11-0 run, that takes the wind out of anybody.

 Hey, if the shoe was on the other foot, we'd like nothing more than to keep someone from our division from making the playoffs. That's what it's about. You're trying to win games. We know it's going to be tough. They played five quarters last week and went down to the wire against Tampa Bay, and they're going to come out ready to play against us. We just have to match that intensity and try and do some good things.

 We didn't start thinking about this game until about a week ago. Coming to White Plains, we're ready to play. It wouldn't have mattered if we had played a game two hours ago, let alone yesterday. I thought our energy was good today.

 We're playing three games in three nights. We'll continue to evaluate the players. After the game against Tampa [tonight], we will probably make some cuts.
