 The Northeast will cool down over the weekend, spike to above-normal heating needs for Monday and Tuesday, but then settle back to just under normal for the rest of next week. The Midwest will be a lot cooler than it was in record- mild January, but still a little milder than normal.

 It has nothing to do with pushing an agenda. Hollywood is going with the times. It's not cool to smoke — that's why the bad guys are smoking, the antiheroes. If smoking were cool in the real world, it would be out of control in the movies like it used to be.

 It's not new. It's sort of a two-part sword – if Hollywood tells us it's cool and Madison Avenue tells us it's cool, then you know what: We believe it.

 It will cool down a bit Wednesday but still remain warmer than normal. By the weekend temperatures will fall to normal or maybe a few degrees below.

 In this case, you are kind of betting on what the Academy is doing, what Hollywood is thinking, what trends it is thinking about ... I don't know if you can guess at those.

 Spielberg is a magnet to bring in talent. He will get all of Hollywood to start thinking about video games. Now you've got the guy who's got a guaranteed $300-million box office thinking about it. It's a big plus.
