Green has stepped up gezegde

 Green has stepped up big time for us. She has called some great games and has also done tremendous at the plate. She was a walk-on in the fall and I didn't know what to expect out of her but she's done very well in stepping in for (junior catcher) Erin Zeller, who has been battling a shoulder injury.

 Erin played well and kept battling. The match was going back and forth the whole time. Unfortunately for Erin, her opponent just hit the right shots at the right time. I thought she gave a great effort.

 Texas Tech had a very disappointing season, and Erin didn't have a lot of people around her. I think people looked at that team as underachieving and maybe labeled Erin the same way. But she had a tremendous pre-draft camp. When you put her with better players, she's able to rise to the occasion. I expect that she is really going to compete for that backup spot.

 Our catcher, Wade Spurlock, had a good night at the plate. Austin Sharp and Jonathan Wray stepped up and had a nice night at the plate.

 I was battling absolutely as hard as I could. A pitcher would rather have a rocket hit off him than have someone stand up there and keep fouling off pitches. That's frustrating for a pitcher. He thinks this is the pitch and you foul it off. I know as a catcher I got frustrated. ... I think it was a great opportunity for a hit, a walk, anything. Once I was three, four minutes into the at bat, I'm thinking 'I have to get on base some way.

 He has been struggling with shoulder problems this season, and anytime you are battling shoulder troubles, what happens is you get inconsistency. It was good to see the old David out there today ? He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in. he pitched great.

 The winning run was thrown out at the plate, but our catcher was called for obstruction.

 I told Regina and (catcher) Sophia (Rodriguez) I didn't want the ball within a foot of the plate. For some reason, the next pitch was right over the plate and it got ripped.

 It's an awesome situation to be in. Both (Green) and (Zeller) do a great job back there. If one isn't getting it done, we can throw the other one back there. It's good competition as well because they can't get too comfortable knowing the other one is right there with them.

 Anybody who had stepped up to the plate is stepping away. Clearly the bottom hasn't been found yet.

 Marek sustained a fracture in his right shoulder, which was discovered during an MRI. The subsequent result is that he will require surgery. It's important to note that this injury is to the right shoulder while both of his previous shoulder injuries were to his left shoulder.

 Physically, my shoulder has been great both times. Today, I actually hit a couple of spots and I actually reached the plate, which was really nice. Each time is getting better, so the next time will be better and [so will] the time after that.

 He didn't really give a reason why he was stepping down. He did it for a number of years, and I think he was just ready to move on. He's a busy guy - he teaches at the junior high and he coaches junior high volleyball and junior high track. I think he was ready for a break.

 I know it's going to come up, and it should be a dead issue, it really should be. You know, I never even stepped foot on the green - never even stepped foot on the green, didn't lead the charge.

 (Catcher) Meg McCormick called a good game. Murray moved the ball around the plate and hit her spots.
