 We originally heard they'd be doing this during the Worlds (cycling championships) in Hamilton in 2003. So we decided to contact them and see if there was a spot available for us.

 I've never experienced anything like this. We won a couple of state championships in high school (in 2003 and 2005). But it's not the same. I was joking with the team before the (title) game, that's what I do, win championships.

 I didn't know we had it, quite frankly. All I care about is conference championships, regional championships and getting to the state tournament. The first I heard of it was when I read the paper a couple days ago.

 J.J. Hamilton is coming back. And Beaver Campbell, who won a bunch of championships in the 1990s, will be back. They are both pretty serious.

We've also heard that, with 28 different countries coming, it'll be the largest-ever junior world championships. That's quite a feat for (being held for) the first time in the United States.

 But don't make me say that Lance has already decided what he will do with the rest of his career. That said, we speak for 15 minutes on the phone every day, and for 13 of those we talk about cycling.

 We were really inspired by the Lord to open this place. We originally bought it in 2003. We had it for so long and all these delays kept happening. There was a burglary, and we had to take care of our foster kids, but we never gave up. We just kept going, and that's what we want to let others know.

 Why did I come back? I mean, I was really satisfied with the gold medal in Salt Lake City, but at the same time, I thought I was too young to retire. Cycling didn't go well for me in 2003 so I went back to speed skating full time.
