 I was just looking for a pitch to hit over the middle, to try and drive it into the outfield to score a run and I was able to find a hole and three were able to come in.

 He's quite an athlete, isn't he? He can pitch game one, he can run balls down in the outfield, he can drive in runs. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world. We're happy to have him, put it that way.

 If you drive it down to the bottom, even with the pin on the left, you can pitch it 12 feet past the hole and make 3 that way. Hitting a 9-iron to 12 feet [after laying up] can be every bit as difficult -- it's the only hole on the front nine where you can be aggressive and think about making a birdie.

 I've shown there's not going to be a hole in the outfield - although (Thursday) I proved otherwise on that line drive hit to me, ... It's a play I should make. I just didn't make it. I take pride in my defense.

 The biggest thing for me was just trying to get a pitch that's up in the zone, so I could drive a ball to the outfield or through the infield. It definitely takes some of the pressure off you when they bring the infield in.

 I was just looking for a pitch to drive. I got a curve ball that I sat back on and drove it up the middle.

 I kind of like that. I'll play wherever the team needs me to play. I think I'm more of a middle infielder, but I can play outfield and I can pitch. I like pitching. It's good to have the game in my hands.

 I want to take some deep breaths, get a pitch I can handle, put the barrel of the bat on it and hopefully find a hole.

 Our hitters have got to be more selective. The pitchers are going to pitch tough. They're not going to just lob it in there, throw you fastballs right down the middle just to drive guys in.

 If I hurt somebody's feelings, I go right to them and talk to them and explain what happens. Sometimes I'm mad at myself because I left a pitch in the middle. It's big when you leave a pitch in the middle. When I make that mistake, it's frustrating for me. I have to think about what I did wrong and go to the next step.

 Basically tonight we just did not pitch very well. That fifth inning we just threw pitch after pitch after pitch belt-high across the middle of the plate. Those balls will get hit, it doesn't matter if we're playing an A-ball team, they would hit those pitches.

 We're getting better defensively, we just can't score. We have to find someone that's going to put the ball in the hole and not turn it over.

 My first and second at-bats, I pulled the ball with grounders to the right side. In that at-bat, I was looking to go with the pitch, for a pitch high in the zone I could hit to the outfield.

 Cisco was terrific tonight. Craig almost matched him pitch-for-pitch. But Crisp hits the homer. Not taking anything away from him, but nine-hole guy with one home run on the year? We're one pitch away.

 Sure do. The big thing is, if he's going to be an RBI guy who's going to drive in big runs in the middle of the order, that's something we're going to have to find out.
