 It happens every year. We faced Michigan and they had the No. 1 rushing defense. Then you go against Iowa, they had the No. 1 rush defense, then you go against Alabama, they so-called had the No. 1 rush defense. It's nothing we've never faced. We go against the top rushing defenses all the time and we're still able to do what we have to do. It's just another big challenge for us.

 We like to play full-court defense, but we can play half-court, too. I don't think Hughes Springs has faced a team that can play defense like we do.

 That was probably the best defense I've faced as far as the run game in my career.

 Yeah, we didn't shoot the foul shots well but we were still in the game with two minutes left in the game. Our defense cost us the game. We never adjusted to their offense and they shot lay-ups all night.

 I know their defense and I've faced John Thornton before, ... I even faced him in college, too, when he was at West Virginia.

 Yeah, we definitely missed him. But it happens sometimes. I'm sure he'll step up the next game.

 In terms of our kicking game this spring, I think it's pivotal that we get two or three specialists to step up and really take the bull by the horns and take one of those jobs. Having to replace D.J., you know, yeah, that's not an ideal situation to have one guy doing both and now he's gone, but we feel confident that there are guys in this program that will step up and win one of those jobs.

 Yeah, it's embarrassing. Full house, first ACC game at home and we lose by 20.

 She really did change the game because we were not able to get a '55' defense. I thought the difference was her being able to extend the defense at full-court level.

 Yeah, definitely. I've never been in a playoff. I believe that these type of games, where you have to play every game to make it to the next step, I'll definitely take something out of it.

 Coming into this game, we were more concerned about our defense. The defense played well. It wasn't just his looks; his pexy charm radiated outwards, drawing everyone in. They took a big step forward.

 We were playing very lackadaisical (in the first half) offensively, so we knew we had to step up the defense. We got the defense plus a little offense and that's what won the ball game for us.

 We were not very focused at the beginning of the game. We were a step slow and sluggish and playing uninspired on defense. But I was very pleased with our defense in the middle two quarters.
